Being Real
ad
I Just posted some info that should have been posted here. So here i go again my stats are Ht 5' 11" Wt, 235, BF, 31.9%, To top it off I have a permanantly disabled left leg that won't bend. It's a service connected disability so all that can be done is being done. I have a gym membership and i do what i can, yet I can't run, or ride a bike or anything anything that causes my left leg/foot to have sudden hard impact with the floor. That being said I can use the jogging machines to walk fast on, or the machines that use a sking motion, and I can lift a little. So I want to bring down my numbers cause the extra baggage is not helping. I want some advice on something that help me attain those goals. Thanks

When was your last visit to the doctor? Or, have you had your blood drawn and lab values recorded, recently? How high are your triglycerides? If you are limited in mobility you can still lose the weight you want by modifying your diet. In addition, a well planned weight resistant program that is designed to build muscle, like pyramid, would be an advantage, since you said you could lift a little. However, if you can use jogging/skiing machines without too much pain, then you can make progress there, too. Can you tolerate 20-30 minutes on the machines mentioned above four to five times per week? The main thing is to stay focused, determined, and log your progress so you can evaluate your data. Also, if you smoke, or drink alcohol limit the intake of both and/or try to refrain from using for a little while.
AnonOrion You should also post this in the General Talk forum if you have not already.
I think you will get more views and responses there. Best of luck!
I sympathise with you man, that must be very hard to deal with. But you've made the right decision to do something that will probably have a VERY big impact on your quality of life. Losing weight.
Theres a wealth on information here at eroids about losing weight especially in this section of the website:
