Tattoos and bodybuilding

ad

Anyone with tattoos, thats been lifting over the years,
has your tattoos stretch in anyway?
If so in a bad way, that would disfigure your tattoos?
Maybe just a tad bit? etc.

hey bro, i've got a tat on my arms at 16 i grew alot since then, the tat does get stretched but it doesn't look bad ive got a tribal but i guess if it was portrait it might actually look bad if you grow a lot

I have a tat across my pecs that says EST.1988. I have been really big into bodybuilding the last 4 years. The tat has gotten a lot bigger and it has a few spots in it where its missing ink. My chest is one of my dominant body parts. When I started bodybuilding I weighed about 150 and now I'm about 225-230

Yeah, I got a half sleeve on right arm and right leg, and after I got into bodybuilding I decided to not get any more tattoos, they do hide deffinition instead of making it prominent. However, it all does depend on where the tattoo is and what the image is. Sometimes when they are strategically placed and designed, it can actually enhance the curves on the body and actually work in conjunction aesthetically. So it all really depends. If you are getting a blobber of ink though forget about it lol

Personally, tats distract from a physique on the bodybuilding stage for me. Some guys have some that you really don’t notice, but some people like Priest and Roelly, just look terrible.
I think a tat that is very unique and of personal importance to the owner is the best kind. Too many people get some generic tats that look horrible. One of the best ones I have seen was a guy that had part of his chest tat’d so that it looked like the skin was peeling away (think of a sunburn) and underneath it was a system of gyros and wheels and levers. Very original. The tat artist must have had some amazing skills because the details were excellent.

I dont mind tatts myself,,,especially ones that are done right and have meaning.
I do think though some judges will frown upon them so guys competing should
think about that,

I just recently got my shoulder and arm done. It's one piece and the only tattoo that I have but Ive noticed recently that it really hinders my look of definition.

depends on what you have, i have my whole body done in black tribal, since i was 17, as i got bigger ive noticed the gaps are further away fom each other, but it still looks the same just makes them appear bigger
