Recomp diet?
ad
In all seriousness, what is the way to go about forming your diet for a recomp? I’ve seen slightly below maintenance, slightly above, just maintenance and even different amounts for training/rest days.
How did you find the best way for you was to go about it and was it worth it over just the standard bulk/cut style?
Specifically talking about while being on gear and I know there’s a lot of variables to it all so I cbf with anything that isn’t really someone’s own experience with it.

Ah the ole "recomp" question. Personally I believe the term recomp is nothing more than a millenials cute way of stating the term "getting in shape ". To get in shape there is no magic bullet nor sexy protocol. Merely increase physical activity through anaerobic exercise. Couple that with cardio and a calorie deficit and you are on your way. Monitor your progress and adjust as needed depending on your personal specific goals.
You have to do what works best for you, and make adjustments accordingly. It also depends on whether your using GEAr and what GEAR you artier using.
There are many ways to skin a cat as they say.
Recomp = increase in lean%, decrease fat%, while maintaining approximately the same weight.
The diet depends on so so so many variables, such as cardio, workout intensity, sleep, and to a small extent gear.
The way my coach does my recomps is weekly adjustments in carbs/fats. If I keep making progress, no adjustments. If progress is slow or non-existent, carbs and fats are adjusted. Protein is always high, and higher on cycle.
It really is not that complicated. Its all about consistency and the ability to detect changes in physique and timing these with changes in diet.
So it’s more of a winging it thing and just adjusting based on how things are going?
Sounds about right, ya just see so many different ways of going about it all that it seems complicated
Winging it is too loose of a description. Its more of a "start somewhere and make adjustments after some x amount of time". It can be easier with another set of eyes or picture progress
Yeah I meant winging it although being reasonable with it lol,
Dont make it more complicated than it has to be mate. Keep it simple, eat clean, cycle in carbs in and out if you choose to on certain days, plenty of water and consistently work out and inject the hormones and watch the magic happen
Don’t forget high protein
Yup that too. And get plenty of rest/sleep
Sleep is very important.... That's the hardest part for me!
