Dextrose & Gainer
Hi there, just a quick question about this =)
I bought some "Dextrose" to add to my post workout drink/protein.
"Dextrose causes an insulin spike to increase absorption of protein"

I'm suppose to add 100g of Dextrose to my post workout drink, even if it is a gainer?
I'm always trying to gain weight so I always use weight gainers instead of regular whey protein. Currently I'm using, and has become my favorite; "Optimum Pro Complex Gainer"
650 Calories
85g Carbs (including Complex)
60g Of different Proteins
+Some other things, Google it if you want to know the rest.
Vanilla and Strawberry flavors are awesome.
I usually drink this 3x a day with 2 Cups of 2% milk. I use Water if I'm at work or at the gym.
Other than my post workout shake, Should I add the Dextrose to my daily other 2 Shakes?
Also I'm not sure how to go about 100g of Dextrose. The bag says
Serving Size 1 tsp (4)
4g carb
4g sugars
Does that mean I need 25 tsp?

DEX is for post workout and for intra shakes.The carbs burn up so fast that it wouldnt be good for a weight gainer shake if you are talking about a meal replacement thru out the day.
I would not recommend using dextrose as a weight gainer. Buy a coffee grinder and grind up some oats. cheers.
