+ 8 Heart and Cardiovascular Health Supplements
As the majority of us already know, aas use can possibly cause damage to many of our internal organs. When it comes to trying to prevent aas related side effects, some aas users focus primarily on liver and prostate health. But it seems that not enough attention is being paid to heart and cardiovascular health, which is where some of the worst aas related side effects can occur!
Some possible heart and cardiovascular side effects of aas use can be; developing an enlarged heart, (LVH)left ventricular hypertrophy, hypertension, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, clogged arteries, blood clots, increased risk of heart attack, sudden cardiac death, etc.
So I thought I'd put together a list of some of the most clinically researched and effective supplements for heart and cardiovascular health, and prevention of aas induced sides. I happen to use these supplements myself and have had nothing but success with excellent health. Now, of course taking these vitamins and/or supplements can't guarantee you protection from any and all aas related sides, but these can certainly help with doing so. I, like so many other people truly believe in maintaining optimal health conditions with the addition of certain vitamins and health supplements.
I understand that these supplements may not be for everyone, and some people may not believe in their health benefits. But I choose to err on the side of caution and research, and use these supplements to help maintain my health and hopefully prevent any side effects from aas use.
So here's a list of the supplements that have many potential health benefits for your heart and cardiovascular system, and some of the most noteworthy benefits they're known for. Keep in mind that most of these supplements have many other health benefits for other parts of the body as well, but I'm only listing their heart and cardiovascular health benefits to stay within the topic.
1: Fish Oil/Omega-3 fatty acids(ALA,EPA,DHA); Helps
lower triglycerides, lower blood pressure, reduce
blood clotting, lower heart failure risk, lower heart
attack risk, prevents plaque from building up in
your arteries and reduced risk of arrhythmias.
2: Coenzyme Q10; many of the same benefits as
Omega-3 fatty acids, and also helps people using
statins maintain their CoQ10 levels which statins can
decrease. CoQ10 and Fish Oil/Omega-3's are said to
have a synergistic effect when taken together.
3: Provinal(Purified Omega 7); Can reduce risk of type II
diabetes, prevent buildup of atherosclerotic plaque,
increase HDL(Good Cholesterol) levels, lowers the
inflammation marker C-reactive protein which is
associated with an increased risk of heart attack,
plus major benefits for Metabolic syndrome
symptoms.
4: Resveratrol and Pterostilbene; they have many
antioxidant and anti-atherosclerotic functions that
together provide potent protection against
developing cardiovascular disease, and may reverse
cardiovascular disease that's started to develop,
lowers blood pressure, increases HDL(Good) and
lowers LDL(Bad) cholesterol levels.
5: Plant Sterols; lower cholesterol levels, prevent heart
disease and heart attacks.
6: Pumpkin Seed Oil; reduce high blood pressure,
lowers high cholesterol, good source of antioxidants
and fatty acids, increase nitric oxide levels to expand
blood vessels and reduce plaque growth in your
arteries.
7: Aged Garlic Extract; helps lower cholesterol, helps
lower blood pressure, reduce dangerous plaque
buildup in your arteries, helps prevent the
progression of heart disease.

nacsaodanYou should always be careful with what you take. People usually begin to take care of their health only after the disease makes itself felt. Often circumstances force a person to independently look for a way to recovery or to help loved ones at home. But you can prevent these diseases much earlier, at the root, and this will not require any supernatural efforts. For example, I chose for myself [SPAM LINK] they will carefully study the body for a diagnosis, and then prescribe treatment. So it was with my brother and they helped him!
Indeed, it is not a secret that anabolic-androgenic steroids are substances that accelerate the formation and renewal of structural parts of cells, tissues, and muscle structures. However, this happens at an accelerated pace and is created artificially. That is why the admission of AAS causes severe damage to many systems of your organism. So, I consider that the best healthy way to get the desired result is to follow the proper nutrition and take natural vitamins. For example, Coenzyme Q10 stimulates the body's work in the correct mode and does not harm your health at all. You can read more about it here https://ansbotanics.com/products/coenzyme-q10-coq10-powder?variant=12393...
goldeneraposer69Great post as health is #1, If I might I would add the following to that list:
1: Citrus Bergamot (patented Bergamonte only) 500-1000mg AM & PM
Great for the lipid panel, One of the most effective ones
2: Read Yeast Rice 1-2 servings daily
Great for the lipid panel, One of the most effective ones. Statins come from this source, great supplement!
3: Ubiquinol (Patented Kaneky Only) 100-400 mg daily
Instead of CoQ10 because of more bioavailability
4: Krill Oil 1-2 grams a day (make sure the EPA/DHA is high)
Great for the lipid panel, raises HDL and more effective than Fish oil
5: Fish Oil 5-10 grams a day (Yes that is right that much!, make sure the EPA/DHA is high)
Great for the lipid panel, also acts as a anti-inflammatory & thins the blood at higher dosages.
6: Niacin (only the one with Flush no Flush is useless according to doctors) 1500-2000mg a day
This is great to raise HDL, lower LDL and also Lipoprotein(a). I would cycle this one as long term niacin usage is linked to insulin resistance in one study.
I had heard about garlic's benefits before but didn't know its help to AAS sides.
But I want to add one important thing to the list,
drink WATER-WATER-WATER
I haven’t seen anymore mention red yeast rice yet! It’s essentially a natural statin.
Alphamale500I've never used red yeast rice so I can't really comment much on its effectiveness. The reason I haven't used it is because of some bad sides I read about it. I have heard some good things as well, but I chose to just stay away from that one. But if it's working for you and you don't get any sides, then stick with it I guess right?
Good post! I take a lot of supplements but more widespread than just cardiovascular. Better safe than sorry! +
Alphamale500Thks bro! Yeah I take many other vitamins and supps, but I wanted to try and list only the ones that are associated with the topic of heart and cardiovascular disease. I totally agree bro, it's definitely better to be safe than sorry! That's for sure! People would probably think I'm crazy if I listed all the vitamins, health supplements and bodybuilding supplements that I take everyday! Shit, sometimes I think I'm crazy myself, Lol!! But that's how I see it as well, you're better safe than sorry! 100%! +
Achilles412Glad to see someone speaking about heart health on here. Magnesium
Vitamin k2 +d
Garlic
Omegalyze
Ubiquinol
Beet root juice
Daily walks!!!
Alphamale500Yeah you don't hear too much about heart and cardiovascular health as much as you do about liver health. Those are all great supps bro! I use the K-2 and D as well. And the garlic is fuckn amazing for your health right? I see you like that beet root juice. Great benefits from that too. You know, I don't know why I'm not taking that? I might add that.+
Achilles412Two tablespoons w a half glass of sugar free apple juice while I’m taking my other morning supps. Does wonder blood pressure never crept over 135-140/85-90 even while on heavy anadrol cycles. Sit at 115/75 normally
Great write up. +2
Ubiquinol may be a better option over CoQ-10 since its already reduced and the conversion becomes less effective the older you get.
When choosing a fish oil, dont go for the cheaper options. Fish oil is notorious for oxidizing which makes it less effective or even useless. Nordic naturals is a good choice, just make sure it's coming from a reputable reseller.
Alphamale500Thks bro! Yeah I've gotta look into Ubiquinol some more. For fish oil, I like to use Nature's Bounty brand. And I use the concentrated one with 360mg of omega-3's in each softgel, and no saturated fat whatsoever. I've been wanting to try those Vascepa pure omega-3 prescription pills. Have you ever tried those?
+
Naicin
Pollicosonal
Citrus bergamot
Alphamale500Great additions bro! I get a good amount of niacin in my high potent, sustained release B complex pills. Policosanol has some great heart health benefits. I never tried Citrus bergamot though. I haven't even read up on it much. Does it have some good benefits to it?
It has been a game changer in raising my hdl
Alphamale500Really? That's great bro. I was using a supp called Pure Heart for a while. It had 3 ingredients which were Resveratrol, Policosanol, and Grape Seed Extract. The Grape Seed Extract is really good, and it acts as a natural aromatase inhibitor as well! It seemed like it was making me feel kinda weird though, so I stopped using it. I really wanna try and use it again starting at a small dose and increasing in very small increments. Make sure it was that.
You know something that's great for cholesterol that I use but forgot to list, Inulin soluble fiber! Lowers LDL and Triglycerides, and raises HDL. Very good supp!
Yeah fiber is another!
Solid advice, brother. When giving nutrition rec's I see talk about in macros, obviously, and often sugar. I rarely see fiber being mentioned, though.
True
Alphamale500There's no doubt about it that both forms of fiber, soluble and insoluble are great for your body and necessary. I especially like to use Inulin prebiotic soluble fiber made from Chicory root. It has many benefits like lowering cholesterol, improving heart health, and stimulating calcium absorption which improves bone health.
But it apparently has another amazing benefit that's especially good for us aas users. Chicory root actually has liver health benefits as well! So you really get the most out of a fiber source!
Vit E !
Alphamale500Supplementing with Vitamin E can be very risky, especially if you already suffer from any type of heart or cardiovascular disease. I get my small amount of vitamin E from my daily multivitamin, and there's also just 10iu added to my cranberry supplement. There definitely are some great health benefits that have been associated with vitamin E supplementation like; prevention of coronary heart disease, lowering the risk of certain cancers, preventing inflammation and others. And those are some very important benefits!
However, I prefer just to stay with the amount of E that I get from my multivitamin, and the tiny bit extra in my cranberry supplement. The reason is because over the years there's been many studies showing very real possible dangers of supplementing with vitamin E and the real threat of an increased risk of death with daily doses above 200iu's, and a significant risk of death associated with doses above 400iu's. I remember when the recommended daily allowance (RDA) for vitamin E was 400iu and now it's only 30iu! How much do you like to use?+
I use 50IU pharma grade caps, but I took a short look to a few supps and all include more than 200IUs, I'm a bit shocked bout that ..even Animal Pak has 300IUs
Alphamale50050iu of vitamin E is a good, safe dose. All together with my multivitamin and the lil bit of E that's in my cranberry supp, I take about 40iu of E daily. Like I was saying, anything over 200iu's I wouldn't risk taking. Especially 300iu's and more, fuck that! It's really too bad because vitamin E has some very good health benefits associated with it!
Good post, I’ve been using Resveratrol for the past year or so. +1
Alphamale500Thks bro! If you like Resveratrol, you should look into Pterostilbene! Same family, even more health benefits and more bioavailability. The two of them combined in one supplement is what I take. It's definitely worth checking out bro!
I’ve just done some reading, 80% bioavailability compared to 20% from Resveratrol.
What daily dosage do you use?
They seem to be mainly sold in 50mg caps with a daily dosage from 50mg to 300mg.
Alphamale500That's right, Pterostilbene has a much higher percentage rate of bioavailability than Resveratrol does. And it also has a longer half-life too. The two of them have synergistic effects when taken together, so I think that's the best way to use them. And with its additional health benefits, especially in the area of longevity and metabolic syndrome, I think it's a very valuable supplement. Like I mentioned, I use a very good brand that's been around for many years and contains 250mg of Resveratrol with 50mg of Pterostilbene.
If I remember correctly, I've read that if you already have some heart and cardiovascular issues going on, the recommended dose of Pterostilbene is 150mg/day. But don't quote me on that, I'll have to check it out again for sure. But if you're using it as just a preventative type thing and to maintain heart/cardiovascular health, then 50mg/day is a good dose. Stay healthy bro!
Great stuff, I found a few options with the dosage you suggested, will buy some later. Thanks mate!
Alphamale500No problem, cool bro!
Alphamale500I take the 2 of them together in 1 supp. 250mg of Resveratrol along with 50mg of Pterostilbene, once daily.
Awesome, I’ll have a look into that later. Thanks!
