-1 DHEA supplement works just fine
ad
DHEA was 46 mcg/dl all time low just six weeks ago. While the most comments were DHEA supplements don’t work, I gave it try and took Life Extension’s DHEA daily. My DHEA sky rocketed to 222!
But my SHBG is still so low, 6 nmol/ml despite all my diet, vitamin d, zinc, omega supplements. It was 5.6 and I literally did everything recommended and reach to 6. Range is 10-50.
How do I increase SHBG?

My doc had me stop taking dhea because of how over the range my numbers got.
I’m planning to stop in a few weeks because it jumped from 46 to 222 in a very short time. The upper limit is 440, so I still have some room—but the increase was so sharp that I don’t want to exceed the upper range.
I think i was in the mid 600's after supplementing. You were under the range to begin with. I'm not sure i'd stop unless your doc tells you to or you're noticing negative side effects. I started taking it because it was supposed to help with your skin, better mood, inflammation and im pretty sure there are some cognitive benefits as well.
Don't hold me to that last one. I've tried so many supplements over the last decade it's hard to keep them all straight. My girl loves to bust my balls about all the pills i take every day. There's easily 24-30 pills which covers everything from pre/probiotics, fish oil, things for hair and skin care, low dose cialis and other things for blood pressure, multiple different vitamins, creatine, blah blah blah.
What dose were you on? My doctor just put me on 25mg a day because my last labs showed it being low.
50mg a day. I was using the Nutricost brand off amazon. I wasn't told to start it as my numbers were pretty consistently in the middle of the range. I came across it somewhere online, did some reading and talked to a coach i know who was a big fan of it so i gave it try. My numbers went up something like 400 mcg/dl n my next bi annual bloodwork for my trt doc.
