-1 When illness interrupts a Cycle
Getting sick during a steroid cycle is a commonly dealt issue, but figuring out how to stick to the cycle is confusing. Illness affects the energy to perform training, which in turn affects the cycle.
At such times, there will be questions that will leave you in a state of dilemma, like, whether you should stop the cycle, reduce the dosage, or continue with the cycle. You need a solution to this problem because you have to stick to your routine.
It’s better not to make any change to the cycle if the sickness is expected to last only a couple of days or if you just have a mild fever. When an illness strikes you, depending on the body’s condition, deciding on sticking to the plan becomes tricky.
If serious illness that requires treatments for longer period of time is experienced, I would suggest you to end the current cycle early, so that the next cycle can be started earlier. This can be beneficial to you as you will have another plan to compensate for the time lost.
If the testosterone hormone level was in a good condition before starting the cycle and the cycle is comparatively short (less than 8 weeks), easy recovery is possible by merely using PCT, which is a SERM (common options are Clomid and Nolvadex).
However, if the testosterone recovery is slow, a low dose like HCG should be taken. Since a high/frequent dosage of HCG affects the immune system by dropping the testosterone level, the range of dose should strictly be restricted between 60 to 100 mg per week.
During the time of sickness, the steroid loss is a waste and the health loss can be regained while recovery. You should either stick to the current cycle or be on recovery. It is always wise to start a cycle earlier than to try to avoid what you’re going to lose.
Taking anabolic steroid in an ill condition is not advisable, and taking it in a good condition won’t help optimization. In most of the cases, you’ll only waste it.
To conclude everything, the concentration of the steroid dosage and its usage depends on the analysis of various factors from the general health condition to the testosterone hormone level.
