Surgery while on cycle?

ad

I am looking for some input by knowledgeable members as to whether having surgery while on cycle poses any complication risks. Particularly I would like to know if it will have an effect on anesthesia as I need to be put out for my upcoming surgery. I had planned on jumping on my next cycle in the beginning of October, but now need this surgery scheduled at the end of October. My planned cycle is a simple Test E and EQ regimen. Let me know your thoughts if you have any real knowledge of the risks associated with surgery while on AAS. Thanks.

Yea just wait. I would jump on TB500 and HGH to speed up recovery post surgery

If you want to partake in these sections get your stats filled in on your profile page........... keep telling people to "jump on" stuff and i will be jumping all over your fkn head.

Pros:
1. greater protein synthesis leads to quicker recovery (assuming it's not a joint thing)
2. Increased RBCs from EQ And test lead to faster recovery
3. Increased appetite leads to greater recovery
Cons:
1. Increased RBCs could lead to extra bleeding which could cause some serious problems during surgery
2. Increased BP could cause rupturing in the blood vessel, arteries, veins leading to bleeding
3.time lost... You're not working out so you're wasting time
IMO it's a waste of gear and money

After digging around for some more info and sleeping on it, I am going to postpone the start of my cycle until after my surgery. It's just not worth it.

Thats a good decision., since you cant tell the MDs. How soon are you thinking of starting after the surgery?

A few weeks. Doc said my recovery should be one to two weeks.

Swelling in the inner ear can be uncomfortable and make your equilibrium unstable, even after the procedure. Extra water from a cycle and an increase in pressure from lifting MIGHT cause a potential issue with the surgical site. Listen to your body. Start out with lifting, first. Then progress slowly into AAS cycle after pre-cycle bloodwork.

I'm not going to rush it. I really don't want any complications. I just want to get this thing fixed so I can hear normally again. I will certainly listen to my body and not jump into a cycle until I feel well recovered. Thanks for the advice you've given me.

You are welcome. Good luck and keep us posted, please.

What sort of surgery?

ricafella's picture

I'm having a Cholesteatoma removed from my inner ear. My ENT is telling me I will be out for about 2 hours.

I don't have an issue with test, but I wouldn't be keen on running EQ alongside anaesthesia personally, especially if they don't know. You're giving the anaesthetist a potential problem he won't be expecting.

Don't risk it.

Thanks for the input. I can certainly make it a test only cycle if that poses little to no risk. I'll keep digging for more information on the subject at hand.

I would run that by my doctor. They can't do anything about you using AAS if you're wondering. I always tell my doctor when I'm on cycle or off. They can't help you if they don't have the facts about what your on.

I can't be as honest with my doctor as I would prefer because I work in medical sales and he is a client of mine too. I'd rather not have him know if at all possible.
