Strength + endurance idea's...
Trying to get input on creating a cycle to kick up my recovery from multiple surgeries last year for my upcoming Obstacle course racing season... had a bicep tear repaired in June, then rotator cuff and fractured wrist in October... need to regain control/grip strength and overall endurance and strength in upper body... 5'8" 190, heavy in the legs never had an issue with training legs, upper body has always been my curse, core comes back easily but chest, arms and shoulders have never been easy for me... any and all input is appreciated... any other questions for me please ask... this would be my 7th cycle, previous have mainly been test based with either deca/dbol and or win... thanks guys!
Back on TRT meds... Totally spaced on that before... Test cyp 1ml 2x a week and some peptides etc... Wrote them in my response to Water below...

This might sound strange but just an idea.....
Start to train with a skipping rope.
Skip for as long as you can then build up slowly. Trust me your core, legs, shoulders, forearms and most importantly your fitness level will sky rocket!
When you can skip comfortably for 20/30 minutes then add wrist/ankle weights and progress even more.
I've never been comfortable jogging...I'm a good sprinter but long distance kills my shins. But when I used to box we all skipped for ages every session to stay as fit as possible it never affected my shins at all and doesn't to this day ;)
Cycling steroids after major injuries is just asking for trouble. I assume your injuries kept you out of the gym which caused you to lose considerable strength. The problem is your tendons and ligaments have lost strength as well, and using AAS will cause your muscles to strengthen at a faster rate than the connective tissue. This is obviously a recipe for an injury. Injuries really fuck with you mentally, you watch all your hard work slip away and you can't do anything about it. But AAS at this point will probably leave you injured and layed up again. I don't have any experience with HGH or peptides but from what I've read they should be the only things to consider after an injury. Hopefully someone experienced with them will chime in.
Water, thanks for the input... Been on TRT for 3 years now... So I'm not sure if that helps or hurts me... Test cyp 1ml 2x a week, HCG/MIC/B 1,2,3,12 30IU every other and Semorelin/GHRP-2 nightly... With this test my free is averaging high 4- 5.3 and total is low 500's... I know for 35 it's low but try telling the Dr that... I had stopped trt in October for surgery prep, just about on week 18... Was going to cycle in if anyone came to me with solid advice... Then pick back up trt afterwards...
Why would you stop your TRT? TRT is for life. You need to stay on your dose unless your doc says otherwise.
@Makwa... Endo said to go off for 6 weeks during initial healing, gave me Clen and some peptides, said the time down would make pt/recovery less painful and beneficial... Figured he was full of it, but they have that rx pad, only so much you can bitch...
I think he is full of it too. I would be looking for a different one.
My biggest concern is getting my strength back and still being able to climb these obstacles like a 140 lanky dude... But I have seen a lot of the real top top pros now running and they are much thicker than 3-4 years ago... Getting to 190-200 I'll have strength for days and muscular/cardio endurance its manipulating the obstacles quickly with a 25lbs bigger body than im used to run in at... I've wanted to bulk up for some of the heavy carries and those things but then some courses are 18-24 miles and I actually want to try and do a race and complete 75 miles over a 24 hours...
Run 1.5 miles under 12 minutes.
Row 5000M under 6 minutes.
Swim 700yds under 12 minutes.
Perform 1mile run, 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 squats, 1 mile run (w/20lbs vest/backpack)= under 35 minutes.
You can do all of those - you are "Advanced" as it relates to Strength & Endurance for your body weight.
K3, you happen to go through SAPPER school in the Army? You workout looks very familiar... And badass... Will start that Monday... Thanks for the feedback... Being sidelined so much last year I can't afford my s&c coach till may...
I never served, but I am fascinated with the fitness benchmarks of various military branches... You don't necessarily need to perform those tests; I spend a good portion of time breaking them into either smaller tests or longer tests... which over time would improve baseline scores. It's like the Kenyan Marathon runners... when training they never do full marathons, instead they run 3-6 mile segments all uphill - at high altitude. This results in pure domination come race day. Take a similar approach with these tests - additional positive element is that also will prevent the tests from becoming boring.
Rick GrimesUr a fucking savage bro!! Holy shit. Any military?
I cannot complete all of those under the time; but that's the goal...lol...no military service for me, regretfully I got talked out of it... but cheers to all that serve(d)
