Post injection pain
I've been running the second phase of my 16 week cycle; currently test-e 1ml twice week & Tren-a .5ml EOD.
Pin site of choice has always been shoulders. But about 2 months ago I decided to rotate sites to give them a break. Left glute pin happened on same day injections so 1.5ml at once went in fine as any other time before.
22g 1.5in needle; dorso injection of the left glute.
No soreness after injection until about 2 weeks after I woke up with a knot, deep in the muscle, not too different than if I had just pinned a day or two before. But this was 2 weeks after that injection and I haven't pinned there since. Fast foreword 2 months to now and the pain is still there, everyday. Painful to sit in certain positions, painful when first standing. Feels almost like the muscle is dead in a small area. It hasn't impeded my lifting so I haven't been too concerned with it, but now I'm just wondering why after such a long time I still feel pain.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your sciatic was hit. Two things, how long was the needle and where exactly on the glute was hit ...ventro, medial? If a nerve was hit it depends on how your body recoups from it. Could be weeks or months. If you have no pain radiating up and down your leg and back you are going to be ok. The nerve was injured or is pinched but not punctured severely. I'd wait it out a few more weeks and massage it lightly and put a warm compress for blood flow. I hit a branch of the femoral nerve and was literally in pain for a week straight and could not bend my knee fully until one month. Don't do deep squats or put lots of pressure of that part of your glute. Avoid it for faster recovery. I think you'll be just fine.
22g 1.5in needle; dorso injection of the left glute. No pain anywhere but the exact spot of injection. I've tried heat and massaging but it the pain is (approx. needle length) deep in the muscle and neither seem to reach. It is never sore to the touch, just when not actively being used. Squats/deadlift I've hit PR's the last two weeks in a row and it causes no additional pain at all. If anything I notice it less while working out.
Just leave it alone. Could be a hematoma of which you just wait it out. If you aren't even experiencing any other symptoms just let it run its course. A deep tissue hematoma is nothing to worry about unless there are symptoms involved.
Coincidental glute strain/tear possibly? I doubt very much it's related to pinning the area once although j guess it could be sciatic nerve related - this is always a risk with glutes if you don't go in upper outer quadrant. Best bet is to see a doc and get it figured out.
Nothing out of the ordinary in terms of pain other than minor muscle fatigue while lifting, no instances where I thought I may have injured myself. Do you know any remedy for pain relief if it I did in fact hit the sciatic never ?

Medical treatments including administration of vitamins and alphachymotrypsine have been tried with varying results, depending on the extent of the lesion. Early (within 2 months) physiotherapy may provide a better chance of recovery (Bourrel & Souvestre, 1982). Our patient presented 12 months after nerve injury and, thus, his chances of recovery were small.
The recommended treatment ranges from a conservative approach to immediate operative exposure and irrigation and has included early neurolysis or delayed exploration with neurolysis or resection and anastomosis (Villarejo & Pascual, 1993). Of 190 patients with gluteal sciatic nerve injuries in one retrospective study, the injuries were caused by injection in 164 patients (86.32%). Fifteen were treated by conservative means, and the other 175 had surgical intervention. Neurolysis was performed in 160 cases, epineural neurorrhaphy in 12 cases, nerve grafting in 2 cases, and nerve exploration but no repair in 1 case. Late-stage functional reconstruction of the foot and ankle was performed in 23 cases. Follow-up of 151 patients for an average 8.5 years revealed excellent to good nerve recovery (i.e., 57% and 78% in the early and late stage, respectively). We believe that neurolysis should be performed as soon as possible in cases of injection injury (Huang, Yan, & Lei, 2000).
Epineural neurorrhaphy should be performed in cases of nerve rupture. Functional reconstruction of the foot and ankle should be carried out in the late stage for the improvement of the limb function, if a surgical team is available for this purpose (Huang et al., 2000). If performed within 24 hours after injury, neurolysis may prevent the occurrence of paralysis (Mayer & Romain 2001; Yaffe et al., 1986). Our patient was offered physiotherapy rather than surgical treatment because of his late presentation. To date, his improvement has been minimal.

I'm not sure if this can happen to glutes but my buddy hit a nerve in his left quad and it's been 6 months that he has a slight lump on inj site and numbness but no pain. He can't really feel much almost like he's slightly paralyzed.
I didn't feel anything different during the injection. It's been over a year since the last glute injection so I don't believe it's scare tissue. There's no lump or phsyical signs that indicate infection of any sort. And I can feel it. No numbness, just nagging pain
I would warm your oils sometimes when products sit it sometimes separates. I've always warm my gear before pinning and it also comes out faster. Usually fast acting compounds gives me PIP
You should never feel post injection pain a month after a pin that's just crazy even test prop pip 2 ml at once will clear after 3 days or so!!!!
That's what is so strange about it all. Never had any issues before. Typical soreness as expected after the pin but then it came back.
Oh man let me first ask if you were as sterile as possible??? Is it swollen red around area and warm to the touch? If so you my friend have a damn infection and or abscess! If you don't know what that is its a big ass ball of toxic puss chilling in your ass cheek festering and if it bust now you got a whole bother problem. Things like septicemia can happen which once again if you don't know what that is is a blood infection with a 50 percent mortality rate after just 24 hours of infection.... I really suggest you see a doctor immediately. It's your life don't die over some gains bro. I may be over reacting but I am one of those guys who are overly sterile and very cautious of everything I mentioned above.
Always 100% sterile, never was it swollen or red and it still isn't. Pressure on the effected site does't cause any additional pain. Mostly only feel it when the muscle stretches in certain ways, or like I said when first standing after not not being used for a little while.
I am glad to hear you are sterile I saw one of your reviews so I know your src can't mention names but we all know they are reliable. This is strange to me man scar tissue shouldnt cause pain like this and if it was only 1 pin it shouldn't have scar tissue anyways. Go to the doctor just to be safe don't mention what you did explain the situation and get some tests done just to be on the safe side. I misread this I thought you said the pip came on right away and has lasted for 2 months. This could be totally unrelated to the pin or gear entirely entirely! I don't wanna say it's not infected without redness or warmth to the touch cause it could be but those are usually the signs and symptoms. Just be discreet go in for a pain youre having say it just like that! Be safe brother.
Figured I'm gonna have to see a doc about it at this point. Was hoping someone might have some insight on it before I took the time for that. But thanks bro
I wish I had more on site from you hopefully some of the big dogs have an answer for you but mine is go to the doctor! I got septicemia from a abscess that busted in my mouth while I was sleeping from an impacted wisdom tooth and wound up in the hospital for 2 weeks. Getting sicker and sicker and by the grace of God or my sheer stubbornness I made it through. The docs told my mother that my body wasn't responding to any of the antibiotic concoctions they were giving me and they had one last one they were going to try. It got so bad that the lining of my brain swelled which was meningitis on top of a blood infection. I walked out of that hospital sure as shit two weeks later had septicemia for half that time and lived. Most people are not so lucky as I was. I don't want to see that happen to my worst enemy let aline a fellow brother! Get it checked out man.
