-1 Help with acne during and after cycle

ad

I just finished my second cycle just over a month ago. This time around I had a lot more acne and no matter how much I would shower or use products like neutrogena to clean my back it would still get huge nasty looking pimples or boils. After my cycle the pimples kinda went away but now I'm left with a back full of dark scars and I was wondering what other people do to combat this problem. PLanning on starting a new cycle with Test P, Tren A, and win here in the next month and was hoping to get some advise on acne treatments that ACTUALLY WORK... Thanks

Here's a glimpse of what can happen if you're not careful. Iv'e been using AAS for years and iv'e only done it the right way for about the last 2. So this is years of scarring

ezmacc's picture

What was your last cycle? have you ever done just a bassic 12 week test e or c cycle if so did you break out pretty bad. It might be a certain compound that your body does not like.

jboy00's picture

My last cycle actually was 12 week with test e, tren a, and deca. Makes a lot more sense being that i broke out more this time that my first cycle which was only abol and deca. Also while I was using test e it was winter and colder air, couldn't really get sunlight on it like i can during summer. I didn't even think about it being the test e alone though, thanks man.

brandoc84's picture

High levels of test break me out bad. On tren or deca im good.

unfortunately there's not really much you can do, it's from your hormones being imbalanced, it happens to a lot of us me included

ezmacc's picture

The acne is hormonal. You should get some bloods done and see where you stand. That should shed some light on your situation.

jerseyboy81's picture

had that issue before. I naturally have oily skin so you could imagine what gear dos to me. I was told to shower multiple times a day and get a good sports body wash and something rough to scrub my self to get the excess oil off. Not going to lie that really did help but wasn't enough. So i went to the cosmetologist and was straight up honest with him and told him i was on gear and this was the side affect it caused. He laughed at me and told me me he's gets a ton of guys that come in with the same problem. He put me on some antibiotic and it was gone in no time. Now i know how these fuckers take all this gear and don't brake out lol.

lol I didn't know cosmetologists were allowed to write prescriptions...

jboy00's picture

lol no joke, Ive even been on somewhat of low dosage in everything but break out like crazy. Definitely gonna try a cosmetologist. Thanks man

jerseyboy81's picture

if you take the antibiotics be careful and try to get off them as soon as possible. I was told by this nurse i was dating that your body get immune to them. Then when your really get sick and need them they wont work. My next cycle im going to try to avoid taking anything by taking 2 to 3 showers a day. Using a good sports body wash and exfoliating body wash with something good to scrub my self with. Since i work outdoors i will have my shirt off as much as possible to get some sun to dry my skin out as well. Even though its not going to kill you everything bad for you. The less stuff you put in your body the better.

Nitti's picture

I've been on the antibiotics, the topicals, all the OTC creams and gels. Been to the dermatologist 20x. Nothing they do ever works. I have the worst cystic acne on my back. And I also have very oily skin naturally. The ONLY thing that works for me is the sun or tanning salon. I know it isn't the best thing for your skin but it clears me right up.

brandoc84's picture

Not even accutane?

Nitti's picture

That I refused to sign the waiver for. Doc wanted me to try it but wanted me to sign a waiver. I never been asked to sign a waiver by a doctor. I didn't like that

brandoc84's picture

lol, i understand where your coming from. Kinda sketched me out too, like something bad was going to happen to me and he was just trying to cover his ass. I didnt go with my Derma because of the price, it was something like $10 a pill. Thats retarded!! So, i took a chance and got some from a top source on here and my derma agreed to monitor me while im on it. I was in the same boat brother, fucking terrible cystic acne on my stomach, face, back and neck, i tried every OTC cream, topical, etc and even 3 different RX anti-biotics and NOTHING worked. Accutane is my resort and its a little early for a review, but its working so far. Cleared my face up within this first week. My derma recommended 20mgs ed for the first month and then double for the next 4 months. Im on 20 mgs ed now and will probably stay on that route.

It may be a good option for you Nitti, i would recommend regular checkups and bloodwork aswell.

Nitti's picture

So what's the danger? Why did they want me to sign a waiver?

brandoc84's picture

Well, its not only a waiver of release for liability resons ( because yes there can be some side effects ) its also an agrement between you and your Doc that you agree to get bloodwork and checkups MONTHLY, or your doc has the option to longer perscribe you accutane, he can cut you off.

I had a thorough talk with my derma, and after trying everything he had available, i decided to go with it. From what i gather, the most COMMOM and severe sides are obviously possible liver failure, but thats kinda the point of being CLOSELY monitored by either your Doc or Derma, so you can greatly minimize the this from happening. My Derma literally has hundreds of patients that are on accutane, and from what he tells me, as long as the proper steps and precautions are followed, the side effects are almost non existent.

I guess its not for everybody brother, but when your too embarrased to take your shirt or wear a tank top in the gym because of the acne all the way down your arm like me......well, i guess im willing to do it. Its working so far Smile

ezmacc's picture

You made the best choice of your life IMO. I signed a waver and the accutane ended up ruining me for life. I will never forgive myself for taking that shit. I will forever have to live with that mistake. I would never under any circumstance advise someone to get on that garbage.

Nitti's picture

That was my initial reaction. My gut feeling and I stayed with it. The sun and chlorine works well for me. Actually the sun and ocean are best. What happened to you with the accutane? I'm interested in the down sides and the bullet i possibly dodged

ezmacc's picture

Well after about a month of using it shit started to get real. And by real I mean real real really fucked up. I came down with one of the "Rare" but "Possible" side affects of accutane called "Acne Fulminans". This is pretty much what it looked like at its worst point http://dccdn.de/pictures.doccheck.com/photos/4/c/48dc197e32a97e2f7a2b5af... . That photo is not of me but that is pretty close to what mine looked like. It was the worse pain of that I have ever dealt with in my whole life and it lasted for months. If I was not a strong willed person I would have killed myself, that's how much pain I was in. If it had gotten onto my face I probably would have killed myself. I did a little post on this a while back, it has pictures of the aftermath. http://www.eroids.com/forum/steroids-qa/anabolic-steroids/should-i-run-a...

Nitti's picture

Holy Shit my man! I know you said it's a rare side effect but just the fact that it CAN happen makes me happy with the decision. I'll stick with the sun light and ocean. My cystic acne can get pretty bad but not so bad that I need to take something that has the potential to do more harm. Thanks for sharing that. I'll post a pic of the acne scarring on my back. luckily it's only my back.

ezmacc's picture

Yea brother, I try to really open peoples eyes that accutane is very very very serious stuff. The fucked up part about it is that I signed the papers not even really knowing what all of the medical terms for the possible side affects were. The doc did not explain it to me at all and he pretty much made me fee like that it was a safe drug. When I came back in to the docs office and showed him what happened I made sure I gave him a piece of my fucking mind. All that doc cared about was quick money. Real scum bag.

Nitti's picture

That's all any of them care about. I'm always skeptical of doctors

ezmacc's picture

Yep. The max I ever even saw this doctor was 2 mins per visit. He did not give a shit about anything except for walking in looking at you and going to the next patient. When I told him that the acne was getting way worse his response was "Oh accutane will make it a little worse before it makes it better". My fucking ass.

aussiedan's picture

May I ask what dosage the doctor put you on? And for how long bro? Man I wish I could say I feel your pain but I just don't think I could imagine how much pain that would have been. Lucky you sorted it out.

ezmacc's picture

They started off at 40mgs then bumped it up to 80mgs and when I wend to 80mgs, shit hit the fan. I forgot to mention. I ended up having to go to the ER one night because the pain was so bad and they gave me a huge shot of prednisone for the inflammation which was the biggest relief. After that they took me off of the acutane and prescribed me prednisone to take daily. Then one day I went back to the doc for a check up and he said he wanted to put me back on a low dose of acutane. It was everything I could do not to punch him in his eye socket. I just laughed in his face and walked out. After my hormones leveled back out I had no acne at all and I haven't had any since. But It has also caused me to be terrified about doing another cycle.

cmo25cent's picture

If you have insurance go to a dermatologists. It may be exspensive but they can prescribe you a soap for your back. He will know what it is from so don't lie. Don't worry what you tell the doctor is confidential. My back got so bad because my regular doctor prescribed me prednisone while I was on test and tren(didn't tell him I was on cycle) and I had a terrible reaction. Went to the derm and as soon as I took my shirt off he stepped back and smiled and said are you on steroids. Busted! Hell I took it as far as a infection specialists . He tested my testosterone level and said it was like triple the normal level.(good test) so man if you can't afford to see a derm get some panoxly soap it comes it a bar or creamy wash. You can get it at wal-mart wal-greens ect. Good luck man

The dark spot is scar tissue, in order to have the least amount of scar tissue you have to have a smaller rupture spot. Allowing the pustule to form (although uncomfortable) until the pore is at capacity where the draining requires minimal pressure to open will cut down on the scar tissue created. once pustule is open only using light pressure to drain puss and white blood cells from pustule. The larger chunks that come out will usually be at the end of the pustules total fluid. Stop applying pressure when the fluid being extracted is more blood than infectious fluid. The top of the area will then recover with a dark red patch and heal.

Then you can apply Retin-a a vitamin A cream, or Hydroquinone an OTC creams in 2% to 4% concentrations. The Retin-A is not over the counter.

i jump in the solarium once a week bro, burns that dead skin right off. always keeps me clear

Keepmovingforward's picture

try nizoral its anti dandruff shampoo its worked pretty good for me, also tanning, the chlorine in the hottub helps me.

HydeMind's picture

Nizoral has worked for me also. And I'm running the 1%. I also use noxyderm pads, cleansing lotion and on the spot. This cycle I haven't had any serious acne! Last cycle I broke out all over my shoulders and back. Tanning will burn the acne right off and the skin tone will make it harder to see the acne. But be carefull it can lead to acne scaring. At least this was my experience.

ChemDawg's picture

From reading I often here that type of shampoo mentioned for acne, hairloss, and dandruff. Would the cream with the same anti-fungal in it work similarly for acne?

Keepmovingforward's picture

im not sure I havent looked to far into it I just herd about nizoral and bought some. I had to order it online but its been pretty good so far. I was kidding with my cousin and told him I would spray tinactin on his back and see if it clears it up hahah! I will let you know if it does!

ACCUTANE!!!!!! Smile

brandoc84's picture

I get regular bloodwork done by my derma once a month.

cmo25cent's picture

Be careful with that stuff guys. After you stop the accutane you need to replenish your intestinal flora with a good probiotic. Accutane can cause a lot of intestinal problems if you use it too long or at high doses. I myself have intestinal issues from taking minocycline for too long and it's not even half the potency of the lowest dose of accutane. I know you guys have seen the commercials saying"if you have taken accutane and developed "bowel obstruction" you may be entitled to a settlement. Well people that were prescribed that had conditions probably got a settlement but guys like us don't get nothing because we baught it off the bm. I would talk to a dermatologist before I take them.

miracle shit hey 5mg a day and my skin is clear throughout whole cycle n pct

jboy00's picture

Should I just cut out the accutane after the cycle and use a low dose through entire cycle and pct? Just ordered some and pretty stoked to start it up. I have my entire next cycle just worried about starting it before I get the accutane.

aussiedan's picture

what I'd do is run the lowest dose you can of about 5mg from day 1 of your cycle, all the way through pct and maybe a week or two after being off completely. but to be honest with you I stopped my accutane when I started pct and still never got any acne but.. they do say aromasin helps alot with acne and I was taking 6.25mg of that ed. still 3 months after pct though im 99 % clear of acne and will probably stay like that for a while Smile miracle drug

brandoc84's picture

Your still clear because if taken properly at the right dose for 5 months, accutane can clear you up for up to a year.

aussiedan's picture

yeah it does do that but your own oil production isnt the same when your injecting exogenous hormones into body so which means acne may come back once you start another cycle. when your off though you shouldnt get any what so ever

jboy00's picture

Hell yeah thanks fellas, helped a bunch

brandoc84's picture

It sure is bro, im on 20mg ed and its only been a week and my face has completly cleared up, and my bacne is starting to clear. AAcapsules.com has some good accutane.

jboy00's picture

Thanks man, definitely looking into it

Billy Goat's picture

I've been on accutane for the last month at 20mg/eod. It's clearing me up nicely. Also, my skin isn't as oily anymore. You want to use as low of an effective dose as possible. Some guys go as low as 10mg/eod. My source was out of 10mg pills, so they sent me 20mg.

brandoc84's picture

Accuatane can actually shrink oil glands and also shrink your pores. I got some on the way. I have exhausted all other options,i've been dealing with bad acne for about a year and a half now.
