+ 2 First Cycle?

ad

Hey all, newbie here, wanted to get some advice from some of you guys who have been doing this awhile, I'm 28 yrs old, 6'0, 160 lbs. I got a pretty shitty metabolism as you guys can see, pretty fast and very hard for me to gain and keep weight. I've tried Test (Cypionate) my first time 2 years ago, at that point i was just desperate. Sure enough side effects started to kick in, (sore nipples) main one, so I stopped the cycle after 4 weeks. At the time i was not taking any AI's, didn't take any PCT, i did not know about this. I've done my research, and I'm thinking of starting a Cycle the right way.
Test E, Aromasin as my AI and Nolva as my PCT.
10-12 week cycle (looking to bulk up obviously)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as far as dosage, and everything in between for my body type.

Hey pal - first off, I'm going to give you a +1 for taking constructive criticism with a positive attitude.

You've already gotten great advice here but the one thing I'll add is that I would track your caloric intake and macros with an app. I personally use my fitness pal by under armour. You may be surprised by what you see when you use it religiously.

Most people who struggle with adding quality mass struggle with diet. As long as you don't have other underlying medical issues (ie thyroid issues) you should have no problem with a quality diet that's closely monitored and adhered to.

Hope this helps.. good luck!

Gonzalez l10l's picture

Thanks man I appreciate you taking your time to help me out, i will say I've tried apps to keep track of my caloric intake, but honestly the apps weren't any good. I will give your advice a try and test out the app. Thank you.

No problem. Glad to help!

Myfitnesspal app is the best there is

Its all in the diet bro , whatever you gain from a cycle will dissapear...

Concetrate on your Diet , eat more real food , it might be worth to hire a diet coach

Gonzalez l10l's picture

Training is just your basic, 5-6 days a week
Day 1- Legs and Abs
Day 2- Chest and Triceps
Day 3-Upper back and Biceps
Day 4- Rest
Day 5- Lower Back ( i do this alone as it takes me longer with the exercises as I was in a bad car accident)
Anywhere from an hour to and hour and a half, not trying to burn the small amount of muscle that I have, also no cardio, honestly I don't need it, bf is around 11-13%
As far as my diet, I've done a high protein/ high calorie, but to be honest, since I can get away with eating anything at any time, that's what I do. This probably what I lack the most i would say, my diet.

Catalyst's picture

Training too much for a guy trying to gain size. You're saying you don't grow and you're light, so you give yourself less rest time to grow and burn more calories by being in the gym too much. A guy like you should be training 3 times per week, not 5 or 6.

Gonzalez l10l's picture

I agree with you guys to an extent, I've had a disciplined diet for over a year, consuming 5000+ calories religiously, it was hard and I'll be honest i did cheat some days because it was impossible to keep up with. It's hard man, having the same body type for over 13+ years and doing everything but roids to change it and nothing has worked. It's hard when you're 28 and have the metabolism of a 12 year old boy. Nonetheless I appreciate you guys taking the time to reply and your input. Thanks.

Chill I'' at work bro.. So here it is, this is what made up most of my days when I was on my diet..
Protein in the Morning- 1200 cal
3 eggs- Boiled/scrambeld- 70-90 cals
9'oclock break- protein bar/banana/apple whatever I had at home
Lunch- Tbone steak with 2 baked potatoes- around 1300 cals
3 oclock break- fruit, pb sandwich, again whatever I had at home
Dinner- Chicken breast around 3 cups with a side of califonia mix veggies. 750-800 cals
30-45 minutes before bed Protein shake again 1200 cals.
So you tell me where I went wrong.
Protein was from GN i believe called Mass Gain

Catalyst's picture

So you tell me where I went wrong.

You eat very little. A huge percentage is mass gainer.

This link might help you. Read through a few pages to get the general idea:

Thanks for the link bro.

Fella don't misinterpret what you read here. Sometimes it comes across harshly but we'll help you out. It's just the path you're proposing until you gets the basics in line will yield nothing but frustration and disappointment. The nutrition bit is tough. I have a tough job, wife, daughter, there's never enough time. If it was easy everyone would look like Phil Heath.

If you want help outside of steroids, (diet, training etc), drop me a line.

Gonzalez l10l's picture

Nah it's all good man, i know why you guys do it cause I've seen it on alot of forums, you have 18-24 yr olds trying to get advice on roids to take and they think that by the end of the cycle they'll achive their ultimate goal. I've heard it before, "it's not a race it's a marathon." But yeah man i would and could use your help on a diet plan and training plan.

Gonzalez l10l's picture

Ok, thanks, well I mean this is all I could do when I was on the diet, work 10-12 hours a day, go home hit the gym make dinner and lunch. This is why I went with a protein with a high calories. So if that isn't going to work, then oh well, sucks being me I guess lol

BigWA67's picture

Can you pack small meals and take them to work with you I work 5 12s and an 8 every week I had problems following my diet for the longest time until I started makin small meals I could munch on.all thru out the day and it helped alot shit just pack a bunch of chicken breast and munch on.em as you work

Gonzalez l10l's picture

I mean I definitely could, I thought i was doing good consuming 5k cals a day, apparently i was wrong, lol. And I've tried it, it's just very hard to keep up with ( you would know) this is why I stopped dieting. But if i can get the right diet plan here I'll start back again and try my best to keep it up. Thanks for the reply

BigWA67's picture

Well lay your diet out for cat on his link and he will definitely get you a diet that you should be able to work with and yeah it's hard to follow a strict diet and work long hours but if you really want it you can do it!! The guys aren't telling you not to do AAS their just telling you how to do it the right way bro

Gonzalez l10l's picture

Of course every now and then I would substitute the steak for salmon, fish, pasta. Same for the chicken.
I do work in a hard labor job environment, (Refinery) always sweating, always active.

Catalyst's picture

So this is a little over 5000kcals as a reference point. This was a day of my eating I posted about a year ago.

Wake up 6.30am. BCAA's straight away.
Breakfast 6.45am, eggs, bacon, protein bread, followed by large bowl of porridge.
7.30am casein in water.
8am gym (shoulders, out just before 9)
9am whey isolate with maltodextrin
9.30am steak, sweet potatoes, spinach
12pm roast chicken, roast potatoes, brocolli
2pm (I was hungry ok) calves liver potatoes and peas
4.30pm salmon and wholewheat pasta, (my daughter referred to it as a "pasta mountain fir the record")
6.45pm pork chops with quinoa (I love quinoa, unique amino profile too)
8.30pm (just polished off) chicken thighs and mixed veg
10.30pm I'll have casein before bed

BigWA67's picture

Everybody here is asking you to post up your 5000 Cal a day diet but your avoiding that so you must be blowing smoke up everyone's arse?????? Huh!!

Makwa's picture

If you are burning through 5000+ cals/day and barely gaining what makes you think taking steroids is going to change anything. Steroids aren't going to slow your metabolism down so that you can gain weight on fewer calories. You are going to have to eat even more then 5000 cals on a cycle since steroids can't make muscle out of nothing and then you are going to have always consume 5000+ cals or you end up right back at where you are now. Show me your log of these 5000 cals you are eating.

Gonzalez l10l's picture

It's not that, i need help to get over this 160 barrier bro, I've done what I can with my time and resources to get to where I am now, I've hit this bump at 160 and can't get thru it.

Makwa's picture
Catalyst's picture

At 6ft 160lbs I'm telling you don't eat anywhere near 5000kcals of food unless it's pure junk.Metabolism, hard gainer, excuses I've heard a thousand times before. I eat 5500-6000kcals a day and I'm twice your size. So if you are, see your doc because you're ill. Seriously ill.

Prove me wrong, write out a list of what you ate yesterday that totals 5000kcals.

Makwa's picture

He must have a tapeworm.

guitarplayer1's picture

Have you had bloodwork done recently to seewhere your natural test levels are? Estrogen, dht, vit D?

If you eat 5000 calories everyday you will grow! Not sure if you're blowing smoke up our asses.

The other thing I would be looking into here is thyroid. If you truly are eating 5k and not growing something is off. Maybe you have hyperthyrodism. Get it checked out otherwise you are going to be fighting a losing battle here.

Gonzalez l10l's picture

Yeah I've never taught of that, I mean i had been consuming 5k a day, i posted my diet ^^^, but rn im not consuming 5k, more like 3k but I'll get some blood work done and get everything situated as far as I can. Thanks for your link on Hard Gainers.

guitarplayer1's picture

Yes that would be a beneficial test also. Great advice in here. Hopefully he fills in all the blanks and stops wasting precious time.

I'm thinking there is a lot of smoke here.

guitarplayer1's picture

From the little info I gathered here is that he tried the high cals for a day or two and gave up. Then looked for an easier solution with the gear.

Op try starting out at 4000 cals and add 200 more each week so your body can adjust to the consumption. Pretty much the same principle with the training. PROGGRESSION!

It's alright man, I'm not here to prove my diet to you guys, believe me or not it's fine, that's all I can do, thank you guys for y'alls input, appreciate it.

guitarplayer1's picture

No, you can do more! Most guys on here have concored the eating for mass regimine and broke trough being a lightweight. You can either man up and do what it takes or find another hobby. If it was easy everyone whould be jacked eating half-assed.

Catalyst's picture

Either that or it's 4500kcals of shit plus a small plate of "food"

Gonzalez l10l's picture

I've not had any blood work done, it was something i had planned before starting my cycle. And no I'm not not lying, I've no need to, that's just my body type, my metabolism. I stopped that diet because there were no results. Sure I put on 3 pounds after that year but there is no way i can keep up with that diet forever.

BigWA67's picture

I totally agree with guitar player if you can't stick to a good diet your really not ready for AAS yet!! Get your diet tuned in build a better base and yes even being a hard gainer if you have your diet on point you can build a good base before jumping on the sauce!!!

guitarplayer1's picture

Why jump on the sauce if you haven't learned how to gain properly with foods yet?

Save the cycle untill you have figured that part out first. Try a low volume appoach with training focusing on compound lifts and do them at the heavist you can do them without losing form, and keep proggresing the weights. Don't do 182 sets and exercises. Keep it at 12 sets or under. Don't train 3 days in a row for your bodytype, 2 days on 1 day off or every other day. Let your body recover and let the food do its job. Eat 4000+ calories everyday, even off days for you.
