Cruising instead of PCT help needed

ad

This was my plan: I'm due to come off cycle in 2 weeks. The cycle was 500mg test E & 450mg NPP/week (NPP the last 6 weeks of cycle) and I had amazing results. I'm finishing my last test E tomorrow and switching to test P to finish my last 2 weeks before PCT. 14 weeks total.

Here's my problem. I just got a great job offer out of state that will require me to be working some brutal hours for about a month with crappy sleep until things settle down and I've moved (I'll have to work 2 jobs for a month and move my family at the same time). I don't get physical activity at work just long hours in meetings and sitting at desks, so my gym time is going to suffer big time and I imagine my diet will suffer too. Not what I was planning on for my PCT.

Should I just order more Test E and cruise for a month longer or try to PCT? I've already been on cycle for 14 weeks total. I've worked out twice a day 6 days a week and my diet has been on point the past 2 months and I'm looking the best I ever have, but I also can't afford to pass this job up. The wife wants a new car, I got a kid going to college, etc.

Can you educate me about cruising, will I hold my gains if I can workout 3 or maybe 4 days a week on say 200 test E/week and eat a cleanish maintenance diet and get 6 hours of sleep per night? I have some masterone E I haven't used that could maybe be used to free up some test if I added to the cruise. I'd be OK adding some body fat if I kept my muscle, I'd just cut after cruising and PCT. Any suggestions? If cruising is an option, what is a good dose?

Drop the family, they sound like an expensive ball and chain. Jk..

So 2 weeks later what happening now, did you stay on? Pct?

Nobody here will advise you to do TRT

cruising is not going to take place of proper diet .... if you don't eat you lose it is very simple... Diet is the key to getting and maintaining gains

If you need to stay on test to keep your gains then you may as well quit now. Scared of losing gains? Are you fucking kidding me? I would be more worried about other things in my life. Do you think cruising on test will allow you to not have to train? You think a trt dose of test and training 2 days a week will keep you ripped? You say you have a desk job yet the choice you are trying to make seems more like an uneducated high school janitor. I work a shit ton of hours, I am also on call yet I still find at least 30 minutes a day to train.

ChingonLSU's picture

Mack, I said 3-4 times a week and nothing about being ripped - the opposite actually.

If you graduated high school I would tell you that you created a strawman argument and hope you knew what I meant, but I'm likely already over your head. Nonetheless, I appreciate you taking the time to offer an opinion. Advice was what I was seeking though not a useless strawman argument. You likely know far far more than me about steroids, which is why I posted this question here..for people with experience to offer advice. I've read many of your post and learned from you. Your post here was useless though.

I currently work 6 days a week. I'm out of the house at 4am and don't get back until 9-11pm. I'm an attorney and work brutal hours, but it's all desk work. I have no idea what its like to live your daily grind and I doubt you have any idea what its like to bill 3000 hours at one firm much less 2. I hit the gym in my office building on lunch and have a home gym so I can squeeze out 2 a days on cycle. I'll have to finish my cases while taking on another job and I will only have access to the gym in the hotel I'll be staying at for a month and hotel gyms don't usually have much weight in them. 3-4 hard sessions each week is all I can realistically get in while I'm entertaining clients, finishing my cases, sitting in court, and picking up new cases for two different firms. 6 hours of sleep is an fn luxury for me.

Spot on, I never graduated. I went and got my GED. I also have my associates in computer science AND a bachelors in psychology as well as multiple certifications and degrees. You still missed the point. A trt dose is not going to do what you think it's going to.
Hotels do have weights, when I travel I make sure whatever one I go to has what I need. Its called sacrifices. Think long and hard before you put yourself on a dangerous journey. Like the alcoholic that says one more drink then he will stop. If you cant do something then dont. Period. If you cant find 30 minutes a day to train then maybe stop working so much. I went to college so I wouldnt have to work so hard. I make a 40 hour check in 20. I can train in my office with no weights and I have. I got 2 small bookshelfs, my heavy desk, e.t.c.

Well during pct you might not be able to handle 2x a day training six days a week and still have a good shot at keeping gains because cortisol has a lot more freedom since there's nothing to block it. When I pct I drop my training to every other day and keep it under an hour so cortisol doesn't flare up and rape my muscles. Make sure you keep eating over maintenance so your body has the fuel you need and try to alleviate stress as much as possible because again cortisol. If you do that and tell yourself "I'm going to be successful", then you'll be fine. One extra month can easily become two, then three, then I've been cruising low dose and it's like my body's been in a normal state so let's pack on some mass with a cycle then pct.... next thing you know one month extra is becoming two again.

ChingonLSU's picture

I'm 40 years old but don't want to go on trt and I haven't needed to yet so I'm a little concerned about shutting myself down this long and one month become two as you say. I guess that's where self discipline comes in and sucking it up and doing my PCT as soon as I finish at my current job and I get some stability.

No way would I ever give advice about this. We're all different, and we all respond differently to hormones and PCT meds. With what I've been through, recommending PCT over cruising would be just as irresponsible as recommending the opposite. Only you know your body. Not us. YOU. This is your choice, and only you can make it. At the end of the day, only your opinion matters, because you're the one who'll have to live with it. Good luck.

RangerVet's picture

Well few things to think about. How old are you? Do you want more kids? The healthiest thing would be of course come off do your pct and get to the gym when you can. 200mg of test a week as a cruise will keep your gains if u train 3 or 4 times a week for sure and calories are there. Do you do any blood work? Are you wanting to compete in bb or just be healthy and look good? If you start cruising and blasting then there is a good chance you will never be able to get your testosterone back to normal naturally. Let us know what you decide. You have to make the choice good luck

So it's a desk job ? Here's my advice don't be a pussy and pct when you work 40 hours Straight running pipe on a oil rig with a bunch of ass holes then we will talk.

Cruising is not going to help you you have to decide what's important your gains or your health ... maybe get adjusted to this job and if you can get in 3 - 4 days a week your good until you can make some changes..

Remember you work to live not live to work I been putting in 98 hours a week in the patch till I said fuck it recently so I'm speaking from experience.

ChingonLSU's picture

If those are my choices then shit, I choose health. I'm made an appointment for bloods this week. Looking at my last bloods cholesterol was creeping up 4 weeks ago before I added NPP. If it's bad I'll suck it up and PCT, if all is good I think I'll try to cruise for the month (is that even a real "cruise"?) Then PCT. I'll post results and follow up with how the cruise or PCT went in case anyone has the same dilemma later. Thanks for the advice.

twistedsister's picture

I assume you didnt run hcg on cycle if your cholesterol is high... no problem bro good luck with your dilemma and new job I'm sure you will do fine.

Bill G's picture

40 hours a week? Yeah I remember my first part time job. Ain't no 40 hour weeks latching pipe . Maybe in the first 3 days of the week. Most in the patch don't get 40 hours a week off time. And people talking they don't have time to hit the weights-working a part time 40 hour week. Ha! #realjob

twistedsister's picture

40 hour casing runs (in over time by monday evenin ) so a shift 10,000 foot of 9 and 5/8 ... Yea I know i just worked everyday for two months straight well testing haha I turned our C can into my own gym. Everything is a pull up/dip bar on a rig.

I'll probably start a group for oil guys much respect to you bro

+1 bro I'm not working 98 hours but I'm working 72 running a 90lb hammer all night and guess where I'm at right now THE GYM 1 hour before I go to work you know why cause that's what we fucking do

twistedsister's picture

Fuck yea that's what the fuck I'm talking about for awhile there I was working out at work just gotta get it in when you can

Jayzgainz's picture

Im up at 4 am and at the gym a half hr later because thats when I can dedicate the time to be there. I make it work.

My only advise to op is just end your run on time. Deal with coming off. Yea its gonna suck and no its not an ideal time but you're gonna have to do it eventually. Might as well get it over with.

Yep that or trt and for a desk job it's a no brainer

BigWA67's picture

i think trt regardless what your job is if your test levels are still good naturally is a bad idea and i agree with the getting time when you can ive been working 75 to 80 hour work weeks for the last three years straight and not at no desk job and i always find time to hit the gym

twistedsister's picture

Yea I agree your right bro that should be a given but I guess it's not

I'm drinking right now so thinks for the clarification on that

BigWA67's picture

i wasnt meaning any disrespect twisted Smile

BigWA67's picture

yeah it seems like to many people come up with excuses why they cant hit the gym instead of figuring out ways to i totally agree with you if you want it bad enough you gonna figure how right???

twistedsister's picture

Hahaha no worries bro for me the working out part is easy it's the kitchen part that's hard that's why I'm real thankful to have a good woman to cook for me

BigWA67's picture

yeah the kitchen part is my demon too bro

333's picture

Fuck yeah brother

BigWA67's picture

II'm on doc prescribed trt and the only reason I am is because my natural test levels got down to 130 where at my age 49 according to my doc should be between 300- 700 that's y i cruise in between cycles i know you wanna keep all your gains totally understandable and the new job but if i was you I would get my natural levels tested first because if your body is still producing in your standard range there's a chance you could mess all that up by not coming off and doing a proper pct as long as you can keep your diet in check and still get the gym time in you should be able to keep most of your gains that's jus my own opinion and personel experience

can you do any kind of meal prep say like a weeks worth at a time to help keep the diet in check??
