Bloodwork: How, Why, and When
ad
Hey guys. I have been thinking about getting some bloods done and I had a few questions. First of all, I have never had any blood taken, not for any reason I just never felt I needed to. I have done a couple cycles successfully, and I'm about 9 Days into a Test Prop/NPP cycle currently. I feel great, and I was wondering how to go about getting bloodwork done. Should you go during cycle, during PCT, after PCT, or all 3? And also, how would you go about asking your doctor? All input is greatly appreciated.

If you are in the US go to Private MD labs on line and browse their page. You can order blood labs from them and they will direct you to a Lab Corp close to you to have blood drawn. You need to have Test, Free Test, Estro, LH and FSH tested. You can save a little money by getting a female hormone panel done instead of ordering Estro from the male side. You should have had labs drawn before you started your cycle but now you know better for the next cycle. Have labs drawn at mid cycle and at the end just before PCT. This will show you what changes have been taking place during your cycle. I recommend another lab about 3-4 weeks after your PCT to see if your levels have come back to normal. That is why we do labs before we start a cycle so we have a base line. It is important to monitor these levels so you can make adjustments where needed. For instance your estrogen levels may be perfect before you start but they will undoubtedly start to elevate if you do not keep them in check without and AI in place. Blood work tells us if we need to increase the AI or if it is in fact bunk gear. Good Luck!
Edit:
I just read your profile and you are a bit young to be doing gear bud. I should have asked before I replied. But if you are hell bent on a cycle than you need to do a lot more homework. Consider this before you get in too deep. Your body is producing a lot of natural testosterone and you are quite capable of extreme growth and gains with healthy diet and exercise. Your body requires very little help right now to grow. Later on as you get older your body will not produce as much hormone as it is right now and a little help may be in order. The real problem is that if you burn your natural production out now you will need much larger and potentially dangerous amounts of steroids later to make the gains you want to make. On the other hand if you wait about 3 years and work out like an intelligent and educated athlete, than when you do begin gear you will be astounded by the gains you will make with much less gear. In effect less is more. You will be in great shape to begin with and your gains will be solid. Your body fat is a little high and you have not established a very long history of disciplined lifting to see the your full potential on gear. Think about what I have said bud and be smart.
