+ 1 clomid while on cycle?
So, conventional wisdom is to run clomid/nolvadex for a PCT after cycling, which is no doubt a good way to decrease recovery time following a shutdown. My question is, has anybody ever thought about the use of clomid during a cycle? I'm wondering, because many endocrinologists actually prescribe it as a treatment for Low-T, instead of prescribing Test-cyp, due to its ability to stimulate LH and FSH in the pituitary, and act on leydig cells in the testes. Patients can stay on this drug safely (as far as we know at this point) for multiple years. Its actually a very successful therapy for for patients with secondary hypogonadism.
Since Test shuts down endogenous production via a feedback loop, which includes a signal to the pituitary to stop production of LH and FSH, and clomid acts directly on the pituitary to stimulate the secretion of those hormones, doesn't it seem possible to maintain endogenous Test production in the body while supplementing with exogenous injections? This was just a thought, and I was wondering if anyone else had a similar idea at some point in their learning.

My doc prescribed me clomid to take during the use of TRT. He said it would stop my pituitary gland from becoming lazy. However, I was prescribed Androgel as the form of test i would be supplementing with. The amount that is absorbed into your system is so minuscule that the clomid still has a chance to work along side of the minor raise in test levels. Injecting test is going to shut you down because of the significant raise in test levels rendering the use of clomid along side useless.
Androgel will shut you down the same as injecting test. Been there and done that.

Clomid trt has its draw backs for some, my endo put me on it for a month. It was the most depressing month in my life. Mood swings and depression like crazy.
It gave me a hard core gas problem not to mention that my 6 year old asked me "why I was becoming so sensitive is mommy giving you pow pow".
I refused to take it as trt, I told my endo to put me back on test or I would replace him. my endo ended doubling my test cyp and giving me a script to adex.

I've been reading a bunch about the mechanisms of action of the different SERMS that are used, and I didn't really see anything in the literature about the sides for Clomid that you experienced, but I've since come across a number of guys in forums saying similar things. I was surprised to see a study all the way from 1971 investigating Clomid as a TRT solution - that just shows how long primary scientific research takes to trickle down to the masses.
So I guess everybody really does respond differently - glad you got back on what works well for you. Probably the only way to know if this would work is to try it...

ClassyChassisI used to run clomid every 6-8 wks for 10 days at a time back when I used to run Tren constantly for I don't want to say how long. I think it did help, but my balls eventually turned into squashed raisins anyway. I believe there is some merit to it, but now I prefer 333iu 2x/wk hCG whilst on, and then clomid after. Just what has worked the best for me over the years.
Actually yes way back when I used to come on and off I ran clomid during cycle, it worked great for keeping acne away. I use to break out bad, don't ask me how it just did.
That is a great tip about the acne for a lot of members here. I never heard that before.
