Beginning pct based on doses

ad

Pretty interesting article I came across on when you should actually begin pct. basically it's saying pct is dose dependent on when you should begin

Check out this tool for graphing Test levels.
http://steroidplot.com/

It confirms that it is about 16 or 17 days to drop to near zero, no matter how many MG,s per dose I run through the calculator.

Dose does not seem to change the timeline much.

I'm a noob, and about a week from starting my first PCT. I've been reading everything I can find on the subject.

According to the guy who put together the PCT calculator, the dosage does matter. He charts the bodys Test levels in MG ( i'm not sure what he's measuring).
If you finished a cycle with 2000 mg of test, at the 7 day half life you would be a 1000, then at 500 at day 14, 250mg at day 21. He suggests starting PCT when the levels get down to 100mg, what he compares to a natural level.
Here is a quote from his site.
Why does it tell me to start my PCT so late?
That is a good question as I wondered this the very first time I calculated one of my cycles. The build-up of exogenous(injected) testosterone causes a back-log of testosterone waiting to be de-esterified. The more you increase your dosage and/or dosing frequency, the longer it is going to take for the testosterone to clear your system.

Most people start their PCT too early and wonder why they feel like complete shit after finishing their PCT. It is because they began their PCT when they were still suppressed, possibly even finishing PCT while there was still exogenous testosterone suppressing natural production.

This is why you should stop any long esters by about 30 days before the end of your desired cycle length. You should then replace them with a short ester such as propionate so that you can gradually lower your testosterone levels down. Upon total discontinuation of injections, you can begin PCT in a relatively short timespan, as opposed to waiting several weeks had you not tapered with a short ester.

Why does it recommend starting PCT when esterfied levels hit 100mg?
It was determined from Table 2 of Testosterone dose-response relationships in healthy young men that 100mg results in a negligible change from base testosterone levels in men. So when esterified levels dropped below this point, endogenous testosterone production would resume.

Here is a link to the calculator. http://pct.befit4free.net/
It seems to make since that a person that did 1000mg a week of Test e would take longer than a person on 500mg a week to get down to a natural level of test.

Ok Zewi, I think I'm getting it.
I'm a little confused by your use of the word half life, and the span of 14 days.
I've seen lots of references state that test E has a half life of 7 days, and that by day 14 your levels would drop to half of a half, or a 1/4 of the starting level.

I'll keep on reading up, and see if it all starts to make since.
Thanks for posting.

Thanks, and this was a very informative discussion for me.

Damn nice right up there z! I definitely agree with ya though on this and makes perfect sense

I've seen some of those online PCT calculators that give similar timelines to this guys advice. Most of which were longer than the standard 2 weeks after last pin/

I think that's why it would also be good to use a prop taper at the end so there's not as much in your system
