Young Supplementer

ad

Hey everyone,

First of all, thank you for allowing me use onto this forum, I appreciate it.
Here's the thing, the varsity coach of my university said before next year, to play ball with them, I need to get stronger and heavier - it's fair, I'm 6'1" and only weight 150 pounds!

This summer I am doing research with a professor and working maual labour at a 7-4 schedule, straight. I plan to work out 4 times a week, and have a routine in the making.

However, I want to supplement this with a steroid - my friend made it into the Q league after being rejected for the same reason - size.
The kicker - I'm only 19 years old.... is there anything you would recommend I supplement with at this time?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

60-80 grams of whey protein ( split up), creatine is good, don't use preworkouts if can, because becoming dependent on caffine sucks! Eat well and often, avoid sugars, eat plenty of fats ( animal, oil, nuts, avocado). And drink half your body weight in fluid ounces. Train hard, lift big, and go after it!

So here is the reason we wait to use steroids. Male testosterone starts to decrease by 8% every year at 30 years of age and beyond. This means slower gains, slower recover, less drive. The use of steroids are to fill in those voids. You being 19yrs old you are on the higher end of the test spectrum. So that being said you can reach a naturaul weight of 190+ at your height. So find your resting body metabolism and add on 1,000 cal a day of what your rbm is. This will put on size. Sounds like you have a fast metabolism as it is and are very active. So get the calories by any means necessary. Don't eat candy and doughnuts but if you gotta eat a double cheeseburger to reach it so be it. Also take what the others said into consideration. Get some bcaas a higher calorie protein with med high carbs and drink a shake in the morning with b fest and one before a workout. MOST GAINS ARE MADE INTGR KITCHEN!!! I can't stress this enough. If your not gaining weight your not eating enough plain and simple. Once you get to a safe age to use aas and have hit your genetic limit then take that plunge if still needed. But till then work in the kitchen and in the weight room and I promise you will see results. Good luck bud. Remember time waits for no one!

Hey thanks a lot guys I really appreciate it - Just one more question - When I'm looking at BCAA's, is there anything in particular I should to get or avoid in them? Also, what is their purpose? Thanks!

Prosource has great supps you can get creatine and bcaa's there and a gainer. Get just straight creatine the mixed blends have way to much sugar. If you use aas at your age you could stop all your natural growth you may blow up but without proper diet and training youll shrink right back down. Wait at least til 24. http://mobilem.prosource.net/Products/Details/a40faf51-3c54-43b1-93b6-50...

Thanks guys!
Just one more thing - there are SO MANY kinds of creatine! Monohydrate, phosphate.. is there any difference or does it really matter what I use? Thanks!

stick with creatine Monohydrate. It's proven through multitudes of studies.

glad to see you're looking for other options than AAS right now. proper diet and training and the weight will come quick

Keepmovingforward's picture

Get a mass gainer, creatine, bcaa's and work you're ass off. Look into some bulking diets.

scrotie mcboogerballs's picture

bcaa's. definitely get those. i was a "hardgainer" for years and just some simple aminos worked wonders for me

jpal's picture

all you need to worry about is eating a shit ton of food and training hard forget the supps you get tons of bcaas from food thats all eat eat eat eat and train and you will grow

scrotie mcboogerballs's picture

why are you telling me that? aminos are very useful, especially when you are going to be working every day and unable to get good sources of protein for every meal.

i reccomend hanging out around these forums for a few years and learning as much about AAS as you can before you get near one. you need to keep hitting it natural for a few more years, 19 is way too young, your body is already full of natural steroids at that age. at 6'1" you need to be at least 200 lbs before you use anything. its all about diet right now. diet is the most important tool you will ever have. get your diet and workout in check. good luck
