Why wait two weeks?

ad

Hi guys, I've understood that we should wait 2 weeks after our last pin to start PCT for the test e to wear off.

Can someone break this down a little further for me?

Why not try to get your HPTA going again while your test is still high? Will the serms only do their work after a certain amount of the exo test leaves the body?

I'm just curious as to WHAT are we exactly waiting for? The TT to come down to a certain point and if so, what point? Or are we waiting for the test e to be at a certain point in the body, if so, what point?

I'm trying to figure out the science on what we are actually waiting for and why we are waiting for that point?

Sorry to ramble, any advice greatly appreciated.

Can't reboot when you still have exogenous test in your system

So technically the body will not allow itself to produce its own test until the exo is all gone?

Just curious, in the beginning of a cycle, when does your body say, ok no more natural test for this guy because he's putting synthetic in? A day? 1-2 weeks? More?

Just curious as to if it starts back up similar to how it shuts down.

The only way to know when you are totaly shutdown from a cycle would be daily blood testing. This is gonna be an individual thing and will even vary cycle to cycle for the same person.

Understandable, but do you think your body starts the shut down process immediately when it recognizes the first shot?

As Makwa said below certain compounds will shut you down completely from just one shot. With test it is a gradual decline.

Gotcha, that is what I was wondering if it was more of a quick light switch signal to turn off or if the body was just shadowing itself for a little bit to see if this extra test would keep coming. Body is truly a crazy science.

Makwa's picture

There is no reason for your body to start producing its own test if there is exogenous test floating around. It thinks everything is just fine so the HPTA shuts down.
Same with when you first start injecting. The body recognizes there is more test in the system so the system shuts down. The longer the system is shut down the more aggressive you will need to be with your PCT. Week or two of long esters and you may not need a PCT to reboot when you stop. The longer you are on the riskier it becomes. Some compounds like deca/npp will shut you down completely for an entire month with just one 100mg shot.

So technically the cycle is 14 weeks long and not 12 on 500mg of test e even though the last shot was in the 12th? I find it confusing that people will only do a strict 4 week pct even though the actual pct might not of started until a week or two into it based on us not being 100% sure of when the esters are gone and when the body actually said, ok gonads, let's go. Wouldn't it be much wiser to at least run a 6 week pct in that case? Also, when do we know our HPTA is good enough to actually come off the pct meds? Why 4 weeks and not 10? What numbers are we trying to achieve?

when you hear 4 week pct, the assumption is that pct started when the esters cleared. So, in your case, your pct would end ~6 weeks after cycle. (~2 weeks wait and 4 weeks pct)
As far as pct length and when hpta is up and running, 4 weeks works for most but bloodwork is only way to be sure because can vary individually

Even though there are factors which will skew ester clearance, there is some science behind it. Follow thread below
