Warming my gear?
ad
I'm new here and researching to do my first cycle since my college days (14 years ago).
I've read suggestions about warming gear before pinning, whether it's under a bathroom sink or otherwise, but can this be done unlimited times with the same vial without messing things up. Sorry, I'm not a Chemist. I just know I will only rewarm my food leftovers once before I throw them out.
thx

My newest trick... I've started loading my syringe, sliding it back into its rapper and then placing it 10-12 inches away from stovetop burner. I set the burner on medium heat. I'm not reheating my oil over and over again and it warms up pretty quick. Smooth like butter!
Appreciate the tips. I guess I am over thinking the proces a lot more than I was when I was younger. To this day day, I have no clue what I took when I was in college, but I blew up like a brick shithouse.
Looking to get all my ducks in line before I jump into it again. This forum has been excellent!
the safest method is a heating pad, those little heaters used for air fresheners also work brohiem..
I've used a small container that won't allow the vial to tip over with about a tablespoon of hot water for a min then pick it up with a small towel (wash rag size) making sure not to ever touch the top and hold in your hand you will feel the warmth and hold it allowing the heat to continue warming up the vial, you can swab it off while holding it and then draw and follow rest of steps.. gear feels like sex pinning it warm, but isn't that great when it's cold... it's like sex with that fat bitch 15 years ago when you were drunk and trying to forget.. whats that? that hasn't happened to you?.. yet.
i would add to that, water can be a source of contamination and even though i swab the rubber septum before every draw, i like to avoid it when possible and prefer a dry heat.
if you have a hot plate, glass top stove (be careful) , or even a heating pad (takes longer but works) those work better in my experience. you also dont have to babysit the vial during heating as much or at all with these methods.
AnonYeah you can warm it up over and over. Its nothing to worry about, cold gear on the other hand IS something to worry about.
If youd like you could just draw up your shot and warm the oil while its in the syringe.
thats a great one. loading syringes and wrapping them in a heating blanket works like a charm. I set mine up when i wake up, then i take a shower. By the time im out of the shower the pins are perfect.
Thanks. I'm very cautious about sterilization once I draw and try not to touch anything. What's the best way to warm once it's drawn. I can't see running it under a warm faucet, or am I being too cautious?
AnonI usually draw with a 18g and take a paper towel and wrap it then sandwich it between a heating pad. Then when Im ready to inject I switch needles to a 25g. Id be more worried about contaminating the needle. The gear contains BA which keeps it sterile. Infections usually come from either not sterilizing the site or a dirty/used needle.
I think you're over thinking it a little, which is good because its better to over think than to be reckless.
I dont warm up my gear much. I pin daily so its a pain, if I was pinning 2x a week then maybe.
EDIT: Also, a hair dryer or a heater is good idea too.
