Sub Q injection help

ad

I have been having some crazy reactions to my sub q injections of Test Cyp. At first the injection site seams OK but by the second day it swells up and gets red. Here's the procedure I use:

Warm the Test before drawing it
Keep it warm in the syringe
Very slightly plump the skin of the area
Plunge super slowly
Pull out and put a put a bandaid
27g x 1/2 inch insulin needle

I have tried using lesser amounts as I started with 50mls every 4 days. I dropped to 25mls but still have the adverse effects.

The test I have say IM use only but I assumed this is normal for Sub Q. Do they have Sub Q test? If I'm having these reactions I'm a bit nervous to do IM because I don't want a painful lump. Any help would be much appreciated.

i'm using 29g 1/2" doing 0.5cc while warming the syringe. sites include glutes/delts. a small lump is normal it's the oil sitting waiting to be slowly absorbed. soreness is normal as well but anything swollen and red with a lot of pain is not normal. you might try some different locations after you're sure you are doing everything else correctly.

Glutes and delts aren't normally sites used for subQ injections that I am aware of.

Bumfiddler's picture

Not really. Jpeezy if your bottle says IM try glutes/delts if you're 160lbs the 1/2" will go into muscle there it might reduce pain and swelling

Why sub Q? Not man enough to use a real pin and actually hit the muscle?

What is the reason that you inject sub q?

There's a lot of information coming out that Sub Q is more stable for trt. Plus I don't like needles so I am being a whimp about IM.

Goose24's picture

Your a trt patient? Are you a doctor prescribe patient?

more stable? idk if you can get more stable than IM injection every 3.5 days with test e/c

I'm not that tall at 5'9" and I'm 35. Not sure what my last question about Clomid has to do with injection questions but thanks for the keyhole glance judgements.

Just stick with IM injections. I tried small SQ injections and didn't like it. Always felt like a little lump was there which bugged me. I would even go to a 29g needle and try that since you are only pushing 25mg. With warm test that little bit is easy enough to push through a smaller gauge needle. If that doesn't work, go to IM.

test subq? uh nah bro idk about you but oil takes longer to absorb than water, just inject I.M. with slin pins, having painful lumps of oil around your stomach aint worth it

My needles are only 1/2 but I'm super lean. Would that be deep enough? What risks do you run if it's not 1"? Thanks for the help.

SubQ is ok for normal dosed gear at 1/2 mil or less.

Use the search tool, there's a lot of discussion on it.

Just my experience, but for trt dosing sub-q is much easier and more convenient as opposed to i.m. This is especially true for people who are not used to IM such as my father. Another benefit is reduced scar tissue in muscle tissue which is awesome especially for guys who cycle. My Dr recommends sub q for trt however, anything over .4ml in one spot on the belly, sides, quads, etc can become very painful and swollen. The reason is because adipose tissue has less blood flow vs muscle. Consequently, the medication is absorbed slower showing a more stable blood plasma level with longer estered products such as testosterone enanthate, cypionate, decanoate, etc. With either method you will still get the same benefits you'd normally get from aas. The big reason why IM is preferred is due to injection volume. There's no pain free or easy way to shoot over 1 cc daily for an 8-10 weeks cycle sub q without looking and feeling like a literal pin cushion.

Btw, i do not recommend ever using high dosed gear even in minimal amounts sub q due to high solvents and very painful injections. Standard dosed compounds are fine and generally don't have as much pip. For example, if you're on test e @ 200mgs per week the simplest way to inject would be 2 shots at .4ml (assuming its dosed @ 250mg/ml) per injection. I use a slin pin and put .2ml on either side of my belly. Generally there isn't any pain or swelling issues post injection although you will have redness at the injection site for a couple hours. I've noticed that the (#1 source's) test e 300 is the smoothest oil ever for sub-q. Ive used MCT, grape seed, and peach they have all been smooth however, the injection volume used is .3ml or less. Just a heads up though... DON'T rub the injection site later or after to try dispersing the oil. It does not work that way! Doing this only causes more irritation from solvents and hormone when falling out of suspension.

Big red welts and nodules can and will form if you place too much oil in your sub q inj. You can literally do ANY oil based hormone sub q with almost identical results as IM, but i wouldn't inject anymore than 1-2 ccs a week sub q as the oil takes time to be absorbed by the body. In fact I've shot tren ace (ouch!), test e, sust, supertest 450 (big mistake!!), and a few other things I'm forgetting that way. The worst was tren ace and supertest. Tren ace because i was injecting 1ml in one area every day instead of splitting up volume which made painful = tumors lol as for the supertest, well that shit hurts from the various esters and solvents. Hope it works out bro!

Makes sense to me as well but what are guys using differently for Sub Q? Do you know if some oils are better for Sub Q?

JPeezy1985's picture

Do you know when the guys had adverse reactions if they use the same oil for intramuscular? My concern is that if I'm having an allergic reaction I don't want to shove it deep down inside my muscle and have an adverse reaction.

JPeezy1985's picture

I've never done intramuscular just for fear of long needles. Been injecting for about a month now and it seems fairly consistent that my body doesn't like the oil I'm using. I would consider intramuscular but I'm worried that I'll have another allergic reaction.
