PIP ( post injection pain)

ad

Well, since I was a idiot and didn't read the forum rules before I copied and pasted a very helpful for me article from another site about pip. I thought I would try this again, but give my own knowledge and own words. I apologize to anyone I might have made mad, and I deserve the karma deduction for not reading the rules.

Now to get to the pip subject. I see people on this site complaining and leaving bad reviews on good sources pages because of pip issues. I believe most people due to not understanding what is causing the issue are quick to call it the sources fault and blam it on bunk gear. I'm not saying that isn't possible I'm saying it's the least likely of all the things that can cause pip. I believe tissue irritation to be the most common cause, and least to worry about. It starts to happen in the first 24 hours after first injecting and most cases are over in 3 days. In a bad case could last up to a week. Most people experience redness, swelling, fever at injection site, and tender to the touch. All this is depending on the level of tissue irritation, and volume injected.

Second the hormone could have crashed. This causes it to crystallize and puts a lot of pressure on the nerve endings of the muscle. This can cause knotting, swelling, and redness. This is most common in long esters, high ML concentration gear, or the gear not having your ideal oil blend.

Third it could be a bad reaction to the acid compounds in the ester. With the metabolic breakdown of the ester attached to the hormone causing free form acid to be released, which can cause rapid irritation to the muscle at the injection site. This is mostly caused when taking a propionate ester. Poor quality raw can also cause free form acid.

Fourth could be way to much preservative in the compound. If to much benzyl alcohol is in the steroid solution inflammation and soreness can accrue. From what i have seen most Pharma grade contains .09% where your common UGL gear has on average 2.0% benzyl alcohol. Anything over 1.2% is a waste and isn't going to help any more in the preservation of the gear.
Ice, ibuprofen, hot baths, deep tissue massage to the injection site will help with the pain, and swelling.

Fifth could be caused by hitting the lymphatic system. This is very rare, but possibly. Most of the major, injection sites are void of the lymphatic noids. When hit swelling will come on fast, heat will not be in the injection site, and pain is horrible for the first 3 days and last at least 10 days. If this happens to you, you should rest and not massage the site until you are feeling no more pain.

Sixth could be infection and abscess, the most serious issue of having injection pain. A infection will likely start and feel the same as tissue irritation. The main difference between the two is tissue irritation in most cases will start to dissipate after 72 hours. If the area is infected the swelling and pain will get worse. There are many things that can cause infection the three most common causes in injections are poor injecting technique, not rotating injection site, and contaminated gear. If you for any reason feel like you have a infection go to the doctor, you need to start antibiotics ASAP.

I hope this helps people on this site with pip. I do not feel like in most cases it's the sources fault. It's more of the user. So many people inject into virgin muscle and complain about pip. Most sources will make it right if they have a bad batch, to save paying customers. Pm the source if you have issues, try to resolve the issue before you go to blasting a source for pip. Once again I'm sorry for my copy and past forum, it's embarrassing and stupid. If I can help in anyway pm me brothers, and happy lifting!

Sincerely,
Ajax 42
