Answer... hard consistant hi-pro lo-carb heavy gym routines with hi-intensity cardio twice pr week... plenty of water and quality rest... basically hard work and a diet that needs the mindset of a saint to stick too... we all have ABS already made! this is the way to reveal them to the world... FORGET steroids on this one bro it all boils down to the age old thing called HARD GRAFT... and once you have done it with these methods you will be the the proudest most self confident person on the planet... its worth the effort bro believe me the satisfaction feeling is untrue.
Thanks Viking thats exactly what i needed to hear. Appreciate the advice
AAS or supplements are not magic pills and don't take the place of hard work, dieting, proper nutrition, a training plan, and rest. Belly fat has been directly linked to high concentrations of cortisol in the blood stream, so you may want to focus on finding a way to destress and detox yourself as well. HCG diets are gimmicks and in almost all of the cases weight lost (because you are only eating 500cals/day) is regained once you start eating properly again. Not to mention, a great majority of the weight lost is muscle mass.
Well i guess what i was asking was how to gain muscle and lose BF, specifically around my mid section, not necessarily lose weight. Ive done an hgh cycle and noticed significant fat loss around my mid section, especially where i would inject and i also seemed to be gaining lean muscle mass at the same time. I basically was asking if anyone would suggest trying that or something like that again, but i think most of you have answered that question for me. Thanks
tread-mHCG diet is starvation, not even sure had anything at all to do with HCG. THEN AS YOU SAY. Rebound! Nice post Ms. Kodiac
maybe get bloodwork done to find out your estrogen and testosterone levels. If you have low t, that could be the reason you are having such a hard time losing weight around your waist.
Trust me man dont jump on AAS as a solution to BF. After my last knee surgery post college football, I couldnt do cardio or sports for 12 months and I gained a lot of weight. I got up to 18% bf and thought AAS would help. Against all the advice of guys like ones here, I took some "cutting AAS"... I gained weight. These compounds arent meant to take BF down. You add cutting compounds to enhance the affects of dieting and great workouts.
The best way to lose weight is what everyone is saying: jack up your protein, do cardio and avoid simple sugars. I know it sounds like what you have been doing but trust me take it up a notch. Its not easy but youll get where you want to be. Protein may sound like a muscle builder but is fantastic at taking bad weight off as well. Do HIIT training.... 1min sprints, 1 min walking for 30 min. Read up on it, you burn more cals during and after than just running or steady cardio. Avoid sugars like the plague. Believe it or not once you have been with out them for a while, you wont even crave them. Its gunna be hard at first but resist and it will be worth it later when you realize you feel better not eating crap like that. Try and take your cheat meal to once a month or once every 2 weeks. Its good to just eat a little crap once and a while so you dont fly off the handle and binge but just be careful. My cheat meal is a big ass steak, grilled asapargus, baked potatoe, beer bread. I mean really look at it and youll see I have maybe 75g of simple carbs, thats it. And I do this once a month. Just dont go into AAS until you have gone down more. You will only add more weight, get hungrier.
Avoid sugars like the plague
Except after a very hard workout. Your body needs sugar at that point.
My favorite thing in the world after a hard workout (A hard workout meaning at least an hour of heavy weight lifting followed by an hour on the tread mill or 40 mins of the stepmill) is an ice cold poweraid. I drink a good amount of water throughout the day and water only but as soon as i finish a hard workout i love to reward myself with a cold poweraid. Is that okay? After that i follow it up with lean protein and veggies and/or a protein shake. I know doing cardio right when i wake up with an empty stomach is the best time but i work 6am to 3pm for my job so i hit the gym after work. I hear the next best time to do cardio is after a hard workout. Is all of this true?
You need to add a protein source here. For instance, I like my post work out drink. I take Afterglow, 20gram protein 32g dextrose (sugar), 10g glut, 10g BCAA. I would take a shake if I were you and add some kind of quick sugar. Poweraid doesnt have what you need. Chocolate milk believe it or not has the 4:1 recovery ratio that you need post work out but for you, it may not be the best since it has those extra cals. For now I would just stick with a hydrosolate whey immediately after your work out.
And for your cardio question. I have heard first thing in the morning is beneficial but not because your empty, rather because it ramps up your metabolism for the rest of the day. Doing cardio after your work out is def the most beneficial for weight loss. When you lift weights you burn off glycogen stores in your muscles (used for muscle building) they are the simple surgars in the body. Once you rid deplete your glycogen stores, your body uses fat as energy. I would reccommend using HIIT cardio as this has been proven to increase caloric burn while preserving muscle... for hours post workout.
Just buck sugar, add more protein and do HIIT.
Your trainer is right in one regard mate. It only works when your metabolic rate dropps. Thats the only time you should have a cheat meal. Sorry to say it but if you are eating clean then you would be leaner that 19%. Have a good look at the types of protien you are eating. Stay away from processed meats as that is all shit. Do cardio and train hard in the gym. Now alot of people think they train hard but actually don't. If at the end of a work out you can still flex the muscle group you have trained then you havent hit it hard enough. THis will also burn calories mate. As for your shakes check out the amount of sugar in them as well as alcohol sugars. When you have coffee of tea no milk or sugar. Eat heaps of greens and salads as they are a negative calorie food and assist in fat loss. You cant have dressings on them though.
Well ive lost a solid 25 pounds of bf in the 14 months and used to be super overweight. Now that im down to 19% ive been training harder than ever the past 6 months and it seems like i hit a plateau or something cause this last bit of fat and loose skin wont go away. Im wondering if its just going to take forever to happen or if im doing something wrong and/or could be doing something much better..
When you make tea or coffee let someone else drink it. Caffeine will slow weight lose. Also don't think it will happen over night.Think of how long it took to put it on. How much shitty food you ate to get that way. It takes time. People hit walls. Some keep going some quit. Don't worry about the scale. Worry about BF only.
Thanks bro thats great advice, it really puts everything into perspective. Halfway through my last cycle of test i started getting upset because i was staying the same weight. Then i realized that the number on the scale is not what i should be looking at because i was making great gains but my pants were fitting looser. Youre completely right, bf is what i need to be watching.
Thanks this is all great info. One thing an old trainer used to tell me is that it is actually a good thing to have a cheat day once a week. He said when you shock your system with a high influx of calories at one time your metabolism will show an increase and you'll kick start your metabolism into high gear once again. Basically helping your body to get less accustomed to running on a lower caloric level. Does this theory have any truth to it? Or is it just a bunch of hooplah?
The trick is not to run on low calories. When eat a low cal diet you will lose weight at 1st(some fat and a lot of water and muscle) but soon your metabolism will fall to that caloric level. Protein is the building block of everything in your body. Carbs and fats give you energy. If you do not use up that energy your body stores it as fat. A cheat day makes you happy but is a set back. If you eat right you get to cheat everyday you work out. When you workout all your muscles get depleted of glycogen. So after a hard work out drink a sugar drink or eat cookies just stay away from fat. This "cheat snack" is going to be used up by the body really fast. It will make your blood sugar spike and then your body will produce more insulin. All that is good for your muscles. To build your metabolism you need to make your body realize it has a nutrition source any time it needs it. You do this by eating multiple meals. Eating every 2 hours does this.
Also if your going to get some of your protein from a shake(I did say some not all) Try ISOPURE It has 0 carbs and is very thin. I make mine with 2 scoops of the Vanilla ISOPURE and 1 heaping tables spoon of Planters Natural peanut butter. I add water not milk. You only have to add around a cup of water. taste great and gives you around 58 grams of protein. I drink one 1st thing in morning , one before workout, and one after workout.
Its funny you say that cause i just bought some dutch chocolate isopure last week. I NEVER mix my shakes with anything other than water either, i see no point in adding calories but i have to say, this isopure i bought tastes like S***! I dont know if its just the flavor i got or what but im going to try adding some peanut or almond butter, that sounds like a good idea.
Chocolate is good too with peanut butter. Not as good as vanilla.
I would say a low dose AI and good diet is what you need.
Avoid estrogen, its keeping you fat
Only thing I would add to Finafan's statement is to stair step immediately upon waking on a empty stomach.
If you really eat clean no snacking not even a cookie at night or no carbs after 2:00pm it might be a genetic thing. I have said this before but will again and I swear by it. After dinner during summer I run 3 miles at the track along with wind sprints. I come home and drink a complex protein shake and nothing else before bed. My waist is normally 30 but get down to 28 during summer. I am small framed though but this has worked for me for years even now that dare I say it I am middle aged.
Try Fasting!!! Eat all your macros during a period of 8 hours every day, and do not eat nothing for the other 16 hours, 24hrs total. You can pick whatever 8 hours to eat during the day. Example from 11 am to 7 pm. Or like my wife does, from 7 am to 3 pm. It works fine for her thought. Hope this helps if not just drop it.
no milk, processed foods, avoid sodium(not necessarily associated with fat loss but will help with any excess water which can decieve you)if it grew from the ground, or it had a face...eat it.
-edit-
as far as a supplement for fat loss, throw some caffeine in there. research ECA or ECY stack...AAS for fat loss is a last resort..actually wouldnt recommend unless its for a comp.
One thing i know i need to change is my sodium intake. When i make my meals for the week i bake about 10 boneless skinless chicken breast and i cant help but throw a good amount of salt and/or garlic salt or lawrys seasoning. I know its bad but it makes it taste so good with a baked and sliced sweet potato for lunch. Any tips on low sodium seasonings?
i have a seasoning of "mccormicks" thats salt free garlic & herb tastes pretty decent. also noticed lawrys carries a few salt free seasonings as well.
DNP
j/k don't touch that crap
What's your cardio routine?
really wouldn't even joke about that.
You're probably right. I can hear the hamsters running on the wheels in the heads of the lower IQ'd readers.
Raise your protein intake 450mg pr day. Get your carbs from green leafy vegetables.Eat every 2-3 hours taking in 50-60 grams of protein pr meal. Look at everything you take for sugar. Stay away from simple carb except right after a hard workout. Eat lean meats. I would add a starchy carb in morning to give you energy for the day. As far as cheating don't. Get on a stair stepper for 30-60 minutes a day. The hardest part is eating. Everything else comes easy. Go to ebay or GNC and get body fat calipers. They are cheap. When you find out your body fat then we can talk about AAS.
I got one yesterday, im at 19.5% BF
zewigood stuff.
Thanks

it sucks but bf covers abs, so the more you cut that the more visible your abs shall be... do some HIIT training if you dont know what that is just ask me
I swear no matter how much cardio i do some of this bf is too stubborn. Im wondering if its worth it to try something out to give me that extra boost lol
zewiCardio is just not running needs to be core exercise and diet is key.
Watch your diet.. Try stop eating fruits and carbs after 2pm. Don't eat a lot of bananas, they add to belly fat.
However, if you have done all this and still having trouble there is a cycle that will help, but that depends on how many cycles you have done.
Abs are made in the kitchen
