if you get labs done, it says not to eat for like 12 hours before. im thinking fuck that. does anyone know if that will effect the important numbers, such as estradiol and testosterone, if i disregard this direction. any info would be appreciated, thanks.

There are different type of blood test, Fasting and non fasting. If you get a lipid panel then you need to fast. Testosterone, estrogen there is no need.

AGREED!!!!....eating shouldn't have an effect on your test and estro hormone levels. Why would it? if you really think about it...BUT lipids, YES!!!

I asked a nurse and she said "no, not really"

I've never fasted prior to blood work :/

I don't think so...you know why I think they say that????...cause the person working the blood is afraid they'll get puked on when your getting your blood taken.

C'mon!!!!....REALLY?...damn man. It's not that bad watching your blood get taken...you slam a pin in your skin though, right? lol....
