is hCG during cycle worth the hassle ?

ad

I see some people use during cycle 500ui/week some after during PCT

is it really worth the hassle if you still use clomid and nova on PCT

the problem is that it is hard to get everything

^^^^^^this of course is 100% right and I am one of the guilty here responding generically. Good shout Rusty.....keeping it real as always. Thanks for the reminder brother.

What's the hassle? The greatest challenge with recovery is getting the leydeg cells to respond to LH, studies found LH levels were normal almost right after test administration was finished, but natural test levels took many many weeks to finally start building back up. Why is this , LH signals the leydeg cells to produce testosterone and LH levels are normalized quickly but test is still low? It's because ones leydeg cells have become desensitized LH as you pituitary hasn't been releasing it for X amount of weeks so you'd balls have basically just been a show piece. HCG is a synthetic form of LH so by using it twice a week on cycle your leydeg cells will never become desensitized to the signal thus making pct much easier.

Good post Iron. (+1) I never comment on 'Cycle or PCT advice'. What works for me , might not work for the next guy. (Tren with no Ai or Caber might cause a panic) Smile

Here's some other good info:

Some good info from an HRT Clinic I've used years ago: (very informative)

Iron, what are you thoughts on running 4 weeks HCG after last injection before starting Clomid as alternative to 2x a week during?

irongame427's picture

Well its better than not using it at all, it will give your leydeg cells a chance to wake up and start responding to what it thinks is luteinizing hormone (the hcg). So hopefully by the time you start your pct when the clomid stimulates your pituitary to release LH you balls will respond right away or atleast much sooner instead of taking weeks to recognize the signal and test levels will normalize much faster. Just make sure you stop the hcg 5 days before pct, thats basically its active life.

Personally I find it makes my recovery just that much smoother that it's worthwhile. But I'm 40 and generally run long ester cycles. Blood work is key. For example was recently running 750mg test e per week, 50mg provi split dose each day and 250iu HCG twice a week. 5 weeks in estro was a little higher than I wanted it (I had zero estro sides by the way so probably the provi helping a bit there) so adjusted aro dose up and was all good at next blood test. Didn't know about the 8 fold increase to aromatase mentioned below. Interesting stat that. Need to think about it some more. Hmmmmm!

If you're 35 and older and run long ester cycles, yes. It's worth it in my opinion. The more atrophied the testicles, the longer recovery will take. HCG keeps them working so you also have natty test along with your exogenous test. Caveat to HCG is that it can increase aromatase up to 8 fold, so you may have to adjust your AI dose.

The hcg e2 interaction is interesting, heard a lot about it but I I don't know exactly how it works but I'm gonna look into it. I've never really had issues myself tbh and I've never cycled without it.

Well, I did have once hCG on cycle, I have not seen any difference during PCT and later.

I do not have access to easy get it, I have to try some places and who know what you get at the end.

Good info on the 8 fold...its on my list now...lol

I learned about that from someone here and he also cited a study to back that up. I'll try to find it.

This post is a little hard to understand. What do you mean it is hard to get everything?

It's mostly a personal choice, but it can be beneficial for recovery.

Theres a lot of different info out there. Its optional, unless u run a 19-nor. It could make PCT easier, even if u use one compound, too.
It converts to estrogen. And, the body becomes desensitized to it quickly.

If u got precycle bloodwork and ur LH/FSH and Test levels were normal, ur recovery of a one compound TE cycle using clomid and nolva would more than likely be successful as evidenced per post cycle bloodwork around 6-8 wks....

I recovered using clomid/nolva/aromasin PCT after a high dose TE/Dbol/Var cycle. I was low T to begin with, though, and my LH/FSH were in range.
