How is HCG made? Pregnant Womens Urine?

Every time i wack some HCG I picture a line of pregnant women in some third world country urinating into a big machine at the end of a passageway.

That's a bit disturbing. I understand that it's all filtered and 100% hygienic, but the thought of injecting something that's taken out of urine is just... I don't even know.
