+ 1 Feeling the contractions

ad

These past two weeks I threw my ego out the door and lowered all my weights in all of my exercises to really feel the contraction and the negative portion of the rep. Now in these two weeks I have noticed drastic changes in my physique harder bigger. Anybody workout like this and don't give a shit on how much weight ur using

As you get older and more experience you are able to look back at what you have done and the results you have attained

After 20 years of training, if Id have known what I know now; then - id have got majority of my gains in 1/4 of the time.

Something to always bare in mind

  • The body is very adaptive in terms of its learning and state - change things regularly - id say every 3 weeks.

  • Hit all the muscle fibers which you can only do via hybrid rep ranges , 1-4 5-10 and 10-20

  • Lower the weight for 3 seconds, explode as fast as you can - this will recruit maximum muscle fibres

when it comes to chest I go heavy, but the problem is too heavy= over compensating by utilizing other muscles ie triceps, I usually take ten kilos of each side from the heaviest I can lift and get better form, by doing this I have noticed more definition in the separation of my pecks, I don't have a certain amount of reps that I stick too because while on cycle I don't believe in over training, the more the better, why just do 3 sets ten of or whatever?? I don't even count the reps I just go until I cant go no more and it works, when I get to the point that the burn and pump is very painfull thats when I begin, I look around the gym and see these 20 year olds benching 120kgs, the veins are busting out of there face, they look like they cant breathe and there red as a beetroot, and they look like clowns, no form!! that's why there tricepes are big and there chests are small

Wicked! You should give a damn who's watching! Full range of motion and proper technique will quite simply MAKE YOU GROW LARGER. Lifting heavy and awkwardly will just make you look like an ass and then probably end up resulting in a painful strain and the blushed cheeks of embarrassment

I watched a video of Kai Greene struggling to do bicep curls with thirty five pounds, since then I quit trying to lift heavier. A line he said has stuck in my mind since then,"I'm not a weightlifter." I'm not interested in the amount of weight I can lift anymore.

I shoot for reps to failure.I used to go for 10 reps, but I changed it up.Minimum now is 12 on most exercises.14 for deadlifts and 16 for legs.I'm trying to get the most out of my older joints. Here is a website that will roughly calculate your 1 rep max http://www.timinvermont.com/fitness/orm.htm
