Different age - different compunds and cycle lengths?
ad
Hi Guys
I've been thinking alot about this lately, being 37 yrs trying to compose my next cycle (2nd).
After reading a lot of very interesting and inspiring forum posts since I came here, the topic of Compounds Vs. Age has often been a note in the thread selecting a specific compound based on the posters age..
Some of the advises for an "older" user (being 35+ it seems) has been:
- Don't use Anadrol/Dbol because of the effects on blood pressure.. - Prop for kicker is better (for BP and liver).
- Choose EQ over Deca, as Deca is harder to recover from when you're "older"
- Run test longer (15-16 wk) because of lower natural test levels ?
So my question is:
- Is there a set of "Guidelines" for for juicing young vs. "Older"?
- Is all this Bro-science? or is there precautions you have to take as you get older?
Have a nice sunday

What does OLD mean!... its a word that does not compute in my brain LOL...LOL
LOL - Exactly...
Old = Pants ON your waistline
Young = Pants around knees (Also makes your Squat ROM somewhat shorter- Win :o))
AnonAge considerations to me are more about health related side effects.
Older I get, the more I worry about how this will affect me in the future.
Tren is my all time favorite and most hated compound out there. I love what it does to me but I'm unsure about the long term side effects it may cause so now I'm less likely to run it at extremely high doses or at all.
I've been opting out out adrol/dbol and going with tbol or anavar while being sure to keep my lipids under control with diet and supplements.
IMO and it's just mine, 37 is probably border line hypogonadal so I would get your levels tested now and if they're not looking too shabby you may want to consider TRT as an option. TRT opens a new window for AAS users as we can run low and slow and when we come 'off' we're never really off. Retaining gains is much easier on trt with blast and cruise protocols.
So to answer your bullets
No there is no guideline for young vs old
95% of it is bro science but there are precautions you SHOULD take as you get older
That's probably why it's called Old and wise(r) - You tend to think a little more ahead than just this month/year/cycle..
I don't know how TRT works in my country (Doctor prescribed TRT) - we don't have youth clinics as the US does but is Endo doc. only - But I have nothing against it and the thought has occured to me. - Could just begin B&C and talk to the the doc later..
Anoni think it's mostly about the level of experience one has as well as if they have reached their natural potential yet. because the compound shutdown natty production thru neg feedback, and because the objective with pct is to reset or reboot those systems, it seems logical to ensure you have reached that potential prior to using aas to avoid possible longterm issues.
True..
But being of a certain age does not automatically mean that you have reached your potential - But I see where you are going...
A lot of this advise just seemed to be based on age alone, and not on stats or cycle history..
... let me add to that: being 21 years of age and saying you've hit your genetic potential is more then likely false.
Absolutely - IMO, the problem is, that for some reason the reference for max genetic potential these days is to look like Justin Bieber?...
