+ 1 Best bulking gear other than 19-nors?

ad

Just looking for opinions on other bulking gear other than 19-nors....yes yes I know all about diet and how it effects your bulk or cut so spare me the lecture Nancy lol

I've ran eq in the past with decent results....
Of course you have orals for short term gains but I tend to stay away from those these days

I don't handle 19-nors so they are not an option at this point though a low dose of NPP has been very tempting lol

Just looking for other bulking ideas

Currently just running Test-C @ 600 per week

romchik88's picture

your options are eq, primo, mast, and i would consider stanzol. They wont put on whole bunch of water wait but you can get some lean muscle on these components.

Hunter2400's picture

Stanzol....I will have to read up on it as I do not have much info at this time. Primo is another that has peaked my interest but Im not sure if it's worth the investment as you have to run it for a long time to really get any benefit from what I've read and it's expensive.

Hunter2400's picture

If you guys would please stay on topic...I didn't post this in the nutrition section for a reason. If there are no good alternatives to 19-nors besides dbol I'm ok with that

IrishMack's picture

You are not going to like the answer anyone with half a brain is going to tell you, it is not about adding compounds or taking grams of gear. Its about getting enough rest and FEEDING your growth. You can take grams and grams of gear and not change your training and diet and the only thing you will have to show is a nice set of tits and 100 pounds of water weight.
If you want to bulk then bulk up food not steroids. get at minimum 7 hours of sleep a night, train heavy and hard. Eat like noones business. Pack in food packs in size. Pack in training with food packs on size.

MegaTRON13's picture

Bingo bro! You’re exactly right about that. Too many people want to use gear to get big, when all they need is the correct diet and maybe a tweak to their workout routine. +1 brother

Hunter2400's picture

I genuinely appreciate yours and everyones advice here....it's the reason I stick around. I understand all avenues of training to include rest, nutrition, training intervals and intensity. Maybe I should restructure my diet. I'm at 4k Cal's at the moment and really have enjoyed keto. I have to play devil's advocate about adding compounds though....they do have their part in this game. I'm not looking to run outrageous numbers and have enjoyed just being on test c. Right now I'm just trying to expand my knowledge hence my question

I also waited till I was 32 before I ran any AAS

Modified's picture

You can just up the dose of Test. I've been running it at 1 gram and getting a lot better results.

IrishMack's picture

Interesting, so what if I ran 2 grams or even 3? Will that help me pack on size? How about 3 grams of test and 2 grams of deca? I bet I would be a monster.

Manshit's picture

You would have some monster titties.lol

Modified's picture

Sure, two grams would up your gains. It wouldn't be a linear increase though. And there is a point where taking higher doses just doesn't add enough benefit relative to the side effects. Your ultimate response will depend on additional factors such as training, diet, rest and genetics.

IrishMack's picture

So how does adding more gear make my gains better?

Modified's picture

Ask Phil Heath.

IrishMack's picture

I'm asking you, you told the OP he should do more gear and then you tell me to do the same. I want to know why you think its a good idea to up my gear instead of anything else.

Modified's picture

What's the difference between adding another compound and upping the dose of a single one? I'm not advocating large doses. At a certain point, the higher the doses the more diminishing the returns. That said, I feel that running a gram of test per week on cycle is pretty reasonable. I'm assuming that diet is in check.

IrishMack's picture

The difference is steroids do not bulk you up or give you "gains." the training and dieting and rest you do while you are on them gives you that. Taking in grams of gear is pointless. The more you take the more sides you get. I believe the diminishing returns is your body not the drugs. Your body can only do so much before it tells you to fuck off and you get zero benefits.

XmadXscientist's picture

He’s on keto 1,2 or 3 grams is going to make ZERO difference as that’s not a bulking diet.

Hunter2400's picture

Hmmm....good option I guess....thanks for the input!

How much ch did you weigh when you started using AAS? You’re 9lbs heavier than me and 8 inches taller with at least three more cycles. Not trying to be a dick but if you know all about food what gives?

Hunter2400's picture

I was at 193 natural when I finished active duty in 04....dropped down to 170 not long after that and having three kids with the wife....got back to 180 natural when I started my first cycle....got up to 195 and then leaned out to where I am now. I been running Keto since March for personal experimentations.....Keto has proven great for me in alot of ways but bulking on it has not been easy

Manshit's picture

Bulking on keto is practically impossible.Insulin and not the kind that is banned here is the key.Natural insulin secreted when you eat carbs. When on keto you don't have any.Lose the keto re feed for bulking.Go macrobiotic and keep your carbs and protein in equal grams per pound of body weight.Look for a 40/40/20 and see if you grow then.I would bet that you do.

Hunter2400's picture

Well dang...... I like the word you used, macrobiotic! I guess I'm asking too much for staying in Ketosis

Manshit's picture

ketosis has it's uses but usually not for bulking.IMO Now it has great benifit for controlling insulin if you are predisposed to fat gain due to insulin sensitivity.I'm gathering you don.t have that problem. The diet I spoke of is probably going to add some fat but not that much if you time carbs around training, like Garidap explains.I personally use a re feed like you but I'm never bulking, always fighting the fat gains.

XmadXscientist's picture

Bulking on it is hard.

Mind if I ask why you’re using AAS?

Hunter2400's picture

Truth be told.....natural progression is the best answer I can give you. I've never intended to compete nor become a fitness model however training andn lifting has been a part of my life for a long time. I got tired of wasting all my money on 'GNC' products that obviously we're never going to do anything. I realize that's not a great answer but it's the truth.

XmadXscientist's picture

Nothing wrong with an honest answer. I know you said no diet advice but I’m going to recommend you add at lease one double cheeseburger and a pizza every night before bed for your next bulk. Don’t be afraid to get a little tubby, bike sprints will fix that real quick.

Hunter2400's picture

Thanks for not judging X .....I try to have a refeed day about every 10 days or so depending on how I feel. I may incorporate more refeed days during my bulk. But I'll tell that when I'm in deep with Ketosis having a refeed days almost makes me feel hungover...but my glycogen levels top off and I feel Fuller so it's a give and take I guess

XmadXscientist's picture

If you really want to put on some mass then I would recommend slowly coming out of your keto diet as it’s very difficult to add weight.

People grossly underestimate the need for carbs when building muscle and focus on counting their grams of protein, making sure they get that protein shake in immediately post workout. So many guys do this at my gym and everywhere else, whether they’re on gear or not they make zero progress on their bodies. I’m eating 4-600 grams of carbs per day and my friend who’s 52 and just took 2nd in the open of a show eats 500+ when bulking.

Hunter2400's picture

No doubt carbs have their role for bulking....I just find the mental clarity and energy I get from keto is really hard to give up
