Pinning vs. IV pain
ad
I had a surgery today at the oral surgeon, and i recieved a 22 guage IV in the crook of my elbow.
I was on laughing gas and they used this really cold spray to numb the spot but it still hurt really bad for some reason.
How does this pain compare to injecting in a glute with say a 23-25 guage needle?
Can anybody give me insight im going into my first cycle and just worried about pinning the first time.

AnonIt probably would be nothing compared to that pain... Try this it is a real good technique and almost painless..

Its for quads and works well for delts, and you could probably get someone to do it for your glutes..
sgtstedankoYeah, easy peasy. Dude just stand around in the locker room talking to peeps, w/out pants on, like everybody else these days
Saying something like, "If I bend over will you stick it in!?:( No Homo ...Nice vid though, wish : )
Thanks for the replies brothers, Nate im 6'2" 210 lbs, bf 15-20% and been training for 2 years.
Glad to hear vein doesnt compare, if i can handle an IV i can handle pinning a glute(:
Nasty81NateDecent stats, u need to get bf down more so u can minimize sides. Don't think I caught your age there?
sgtstedankoX2!
sgtstedankoNo comparison brother. Vein vs muscle. Your nurse probably hadn't done many or something. Next time ask for someone trained by any branch of service, they won't miss & you can rest assured they've done it properly 1000s of times : ) Seriously though, my ex girlfriend used to pin me. She hit a nerve once, I dropped to the floor, pin broke off : ( long story short, took me like an hour or so, & several tries to dig that fucker out. Scarred me for life... Always pay a little extra for good quality pins, & leave at least a centimeter of the pin out. A Very slight pinch is all you should feel when done properly, yada, yada, yada. That numbing spray might be something to look into. I wonder if anyone uses those pins that self retract the pins after done pushing the plunger? : )
Nasty81NateHad several sugeries this year, and getting a IV is way more painful than a glute shot. Very few nerves in the glutes unlike they're are in th forearm and hands. First pin was the hardest because I was scared, I was scared shitless. Then after I got it done, I felt foolish for being scared of something that was so easy nd painless. I know one guys that bought b-12 injectable and used it to practice injecting before they ever did a cycle.
BTW, what is you age, weight, bf%, training history?
This guy Nate helped me with my very first pin I would listen to him, hes right shit is painless. I sat in my room for like 3 hours before I could man up but it doesn't hurt man just do it! ( if you are ready with pct on hand & all )
DefconI dont feel anything when injecting glutes, I use 23g 1.5
really? how do you feel when you get say a vaccine?
DefconUsually painless, when I was injecting my quads I would have a painful injection once every 2-3 injections, but ever since I started pinning glutes I never feel a thing
