+ 1 23G X 1.25" needles ok for Glute injections

ad

Hi

I have notices that a lot of you are using 1.5" needles for the the Glute injections. I only have 23G X 1.25" needles.

Should this be ok, my BF is low - especially on my ass Smile

I do have the 21G X 1 1/2" needles but I use them to pull the test E and they seems thick for injection

Thanks

23g was too much for me on some mornings when the tip would not pierce through my skin.

I now use 23g to draw, and 27g, 1.25" for injections. Upon contact, it goes through like nothing.

It requires a little more thumb pressure, but it comes out fine.

23-25 gauge is perfect... 1.5" right on the money...pull with 21 ga, swap out and pin with 23.. it's make a huge difference, try pinning with an 18 ga... not fun

Yeah bro don't use those 21G for pinning if that's what you might be thinking! You'll have to holes back there once your done! Lol! I use 23G for all my pins currently but once I run out of those I'll be moving to 25G, 23s can sting a bit and I have troubles getting them in my quads comfortably(might be because I'm still new at this though) But when I pin the 23s in my glute I have zero problems and enjoy it.

To pin back there I just set my right hand if it's my right glute I'm doing make a peace sign with my first two fingers and right under the web of those two fingers is where I stick the needle worked wonders today when I pined my test e.

Hope this helps!

Yes it will be fine

1.5" is way to long for me.... I'm pretty muscular so I use 25" 5/8th to pin delts and quads... 25" 1" for glutes... Next run i think I'm using 25 5/8ths for everything even my glutes..

i had a bad pin last cycle that shut me down for 3 days.. Grrrrr no bueno..

I use 25x5/8 for everything, love it, would never go back to anything bigger.

What do you mean by bad pin? I know without taking safety measures to sanitize you risk an abscess but whats a bad pin?

Im not sure what he meant but its possible he pushed the steroid into his muscle too fast, doing this is easier with a thicker gauge needle like. 23, and when you push the fluid in faster, it can actually tear the muscle fibers, causing great pain and soreness. Many guys recommend heating up the steroid by placing the bottom of the vial in some warm or hot water, and also showering to warm up the muscle, this increases the viscosity of the fluid basically.
Also keep in mind that if you are using a high steroid:filler fluid ratio, such as 500mg test per milliliter, that substance on its own is more likely to hurt for days than say 250mg per ml test.
Hence why some recommend dilluting with filtered grapeseed oil. Me, i use 250mg test , but two milliliters and a 23 gauge i inch needle for glutes.

The prob was the pin was to long and I over shot the glute and must've nixed something I shouldn't of.. I was running simple prop and was a few shots in so it wasn't the compound... but for the next 3 days I had shortness of breath, sluggishness and flu like body aches.. bad pin my dude.

Wow the thought sends chills down my spine. Good luck in the future! I didnt think a 1.5" would be capable of overshooting the glute muscle. Thats really interesting.

Thanks for the answers. I don“t fell any pain using the 23G my only concern in the length of the needle

Gymjunkie01's picture

if your BF % is low your fine but you should really pick up some 25 gauge needles bro takes a few seconds longer to inject but a whole lot less painful imo..
