+ 1 Shoes for leg day ?
ad
What does everyone wear when training legs?
Need a good pair for leg day been going no shoes for awhile because if I wear my foam base trainers which aren't ideal for squats leg press etc I get knee pain.
Training with no shoes does the trick for me no pain, get a good mind muscle connection and stuff but I'm open for some good shoes for leg day now

I tried Adidas powerlifters and didn't like. They have the lifted heel and I didn't like that (first time I ever tried a wedge). Also no arch support
Then... I tired new balance Minimus... FUCKING amazing for a zero shoe!!! Highly recommend
Pumas… adidas or socks. I’m very balanced and very strong wearing socks. Some people mock it but they need to try it first
I like to wear Ryderwear bodybuilding shoes. These have flat firm sole and offers some ankle support as well. But my best squats were done barefooted, with spacers between the fingers - I use these silicon spacers sometimes, because my foot shape and my fingers too close together (from wearing wrong shoes) doesn't provide optimal support. My chiropractor recommended me this hack to train stability and I must admit it helped with overal squat feel and raw weight output a lot.
coolshirtbraWhen it comes to training legs, I always recommend a good pair of weightlifting shoes. They provide extra stability and support for squats, leg presses, and other leg exercises. They also help to reduce knee pain. If you're looking for a good pair, I'd suggest checking out Nike Romaleos, Adidas Powerlift 4s, or Reebok Legacy Lifters.
JohnJuiceconverse for the win. its definitely the cheapest method of getting a nice flat, limited-support shoe.
DreamlordI use special shoes with drop for quadriceps and for all train shoes with no drop, i use converse
Sancho2000Controversial opinion incoming - Vibram Barefoot. Ugly as sin, but I'd rather not have issues like a flattened arch and what have you. But like I said, they are UGLY.
RealizeRealLiesNo shoes
DreamlordNo shoes is good option for glutes and harmstring but is you focus quad you need elevate the back of foot
I like Nike blazer hi tops, thicker material, good ankle support and a flat sole. If you have ankle mobility issues you can have a look into squat shoes, which can be a good investment if your heels lift when squatting.
monster1oneHave a few mates that swear by wrestling shoes for leg days.
Just wear shoes. Any cunts I see walking around the gym without shoes makes me feel like dropping a 20kg plate on their toes
Lapiszx3This.
Not to mention the increased probability of fungal disease spreading.
People really need to be wearing shoes in a public gym.
Seems to be the trend lately with all the young broccoli heads at my gym No shoes and colorful socks. I dont' get it. Must be a youtube thing or something.
I always wore just socks for squats for the last 7 years. I feel more balanced stronger.
this is the first I have ever seen or head of sockless squats
Try it once. Your balance fees better and you get stronger.
RealizeRealLiesI like barefoot purely for connection
LMAO Is that when they are doing Sumo pulls also
The shit I see these kids doing these days just makes me laugh. I don't know where they come up with some of this shit
Flexing their 12" biceps in the mirror all the time is also hilarious.
