Hi everyone,
Starting to get really bad skin acne on the back from the Trem and now Decca, any suggestion on how to deal with this please?
I found when I first began to use steroids I got acne really bad, both on the face and back - I think its just an initial reaction to the sudden influx of hormones that it simply isn't use to and then after time things settle and it climatizes to it. I remember trying to fight it all and in the end kinda gave up, and after a few cycles it simply went. However after much reading over the years on acne breakouts and rosacea - the single most effective thing to use is Accutane. There are new studies recently published now stating that just a low dose of 20mg several times per week is very effective. The Liver horror stories are also a little over hyped on it, a member on here ran it for several months a while back at a moderate dose and he had no real rise in liver enzymes whatsoever. Although the reason for its discontinuation was stated its because it is liver toxic, the reality is it can cause serious depression and suicide in some people via the way it works. Something like 20 people committed suicide in 1 year when using it, so being hit with a number of Law suits they simply stopped prescribing it. You have various anti biotics also and topical creams, but anything in tablet form is the way to go as the creams are often only around 0.75% antibiotic and do not work systematically.
Great reply mate, thanks for the info
Is it not possibly from a hormonal imbalance. High prolactin?
Had it bad around shoulders especially, but also back and chest. Only thing that worked for me was acnecide body cream. You can use soaps etc but that cream really does the trick.
Doesn’t that acnecide stain everything though? I’ve tried that on a few lads and it stained there clothes and bed sheets everything that touch there body lol
It depends on the concentration of the dosage but even at 3% with Benzyl Peroxide yes, I remember ruining a side of Etnies shoes and bleached an area grey when trying to scrub it out.
Tea Tree Leaf oil/tincture did wonders for me in HS.
Thanks man!
Lymecyline 408mg and if they don’t work accutane
I've tried several different things and nothing really helps me. If you're prone to acne like I am, it's going to happen. I've tried doxycycline, acne body wash, nizoral, but I always get acne flair ups like I'm going through puberty again.
Get you a back scrubber brush and scrub in some Nizoral shampoo. Let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse off. It has ketoconazole in it, which helps with acne. Try that 2x a week and also use something like basic dial antibacterial soap.
I am not prone to Acne but my back is becoming covered in spots, really annoying.
