Quick question on Var only.

ad

Hey guys, made my first online order. While I wait, I have some Var left over from a while ago. Any advice on if it would be ok to kick off with just anavar, maybe 50mg a day until my test gets here? I see a lot of mixed things online so figured I'd ask the guys here. I figure, I'd be on just anavar for a max of 10 days or so until my order arrives.

*above 20% bf

Get that bf at sub 12% before cycling. You get more benefits from a cycle when your bf is lower. It also ensures you know how to eat and get the most from the cycle/keep the gains after PCT.

After the above, I recommend doing 500mg Test as it will help you dial in AI. I think short esters are better for a first cycle so you can get off of them faster and right into PCT, however many newbies don’t like using so many needles.

Thank you all for the info, looks like I'll be waiting until the second half. One more question, what kind of PCT would you guys recommend? I'll be running 300 MG test E per week, plus the 50mg of var towards the later half.

If you click on Rusty’s avatar, it’ll link you to some decent PCT protocols. You’ll want Nolvadex & Clomid, and maybe HCG or gonadorelin if you’re so inclined. Research for dosing schedules and such. Using Test E, I would wait 3 - 4 weeks to begin PCT from last injection as apposed to the typical 2 weeks often spoken of, due to the 8 day half life, but this is my understanding of the data, while others suggest a 2 week window before beginning PCT.

Don't run anything until you get your PCT. Looks like you should research some more.

I haven't started anything yet. That's why I am here asking these questions. To be honest my original plan was to just low dose test for a while. 2-300 mgs a week. So I wasn't really super worried. I have several bottles on the way. But I wanna gather as much info as I can. So what pct would you recommend?

Ok, so I've read in a lot of places that Var is a great kick starter. I used to be a monster, but I hurt myself, then got married and had a kid and now I'm a fat dad. Lol. I know the routines, I've done basic test and dbol cycle in the past. So my research thus far has yielded that Var is great to run for like 4-6 weeks when I first start back on cycle to get recomp and shit going. Is this not accurate? I really appreciate the help man. I'm trying to get back to where I was. As fast as possible. You know, low self esteem, depression, divorce, all the sob stories, well thats my life right now so I'm trying to turn that shit around.

Natty & Rusty are both right.

Get that bodyfat % lower with a dialed-in diet then once you're in the 2nd half of your new cycle toss in the Var to reap the maximum benefits. When you have the hormonal & gene expression profile benefits of a cycle in full swing you're going to gain a lot more from the Var compared to if you're waiting for Test to build up to supraphysiological levels.

I'm not much of a car buff, but here's an analogy: Would it be better to install a cold air intake or NOS kit on the minivan you're driving, or to sell the thing and install it into your new V6 sports car?

It is sometimes used in that way, but var isn’t very useful unless your BF % is quite low. If you’re just getting back in shape and have your mind set on gearing up right away (as apposed to natural training/recomp - then gear), I would suggest you place it at the end of the cycle, thus giving your body time to tighten up and lower BF before adding in var. It really fucks up your lipid profile, so both BF and diet are crucial while running these things. It is also a possibility that something may happen to your pack on the way, and you’ll have crashed your HPTA without test on hand, and you’ll be a real mess then.

Seems a bit off topic, but it lowers due to endocrine impairment in response to super-physiological levels of test. Your body slows production of SBGH as a it perceives an abundance of testosterone floating around. Pretty sure you know. Why do you ask?
