HCG and TRT

ad

I started my TRT treatment about 3 months ago. My doctor only put me on test cyp. Would adding HCG be of a benefit to me? Not too worried about having kids, but if it’ll make my treatment work better, I’d like to ask him about it.

I notice a big difference in mood when supplementing with HCG with my TRT. If you start feeling "off' while on TRT a blast of HCG usually puts me back in the right frame of mind. Don't need to do HCG all the time but supplementing here and there with it really seems to add overall feeling of wellbeing while being on TRt.

How often do you take it? What’s the average dose for HCG? I’m still dialing in my TRT levels, so I still feel off (pretty sure my dose is too low. I go for blood work Wednesday to find out) because I was an idiot and took extra in the beginning (and I felt great), thought I stopped the extra in time but by test came back just above 1000 so the doctor lowered my dosage. Then I talked to someone, who made me realize how important finding your correct TRT level is, esp if you have plans to do more after you find it. So my urologist lowered my dose. I’ve since stuck with his dose, in hopes that he raises me, because he only has me on 80mg a week (40mg 2x a week) and I hardly notice a difference. HCG was something I wanted to possibly talk to him about adding, even though I’d probably have to go through an online clinic for the HCG because I dont have the best health insurance, and EVERY pharmacy is $250-350 even with GoodRx, except rite aid which is $90 for one 10,000 10ml vial. I found a reputable online clinic that would do just HCG for $200 for 3 months, which is only a tiny bit more expensive than UGLS, but would come from a pharmacy.

I'll go for maybe a year without taking HCG. Balls are gone by then and out of the blue you just start to realize things are mentally off. Then I'll do a blast of like 2500iu 3x/wk for about a month to plump things back up and then ride on about 250iu 3x/wk for a couple of months or until I get sick of pinning it and then take go off for a big chunk of time until things start to feel out of whack again. Might just be good to stay on low dose all the time but I really get tired of all the pinning and that in itself becomes a real drag also.

It is going to take a long time to dial in your proper dose for TRT. Plan on 6 months to maybe even a year so don't deviate from your urologist until you actually have the dose dialed in for sure. 6 months is not long in the grand scheme of things since this will be for the rest of your life.

Raises estrogen.

More of a personal preference I'd say. Make your boys stay a little fuller. But if you're not wanting kids then it's not necessary. I was on hcg from the start of my trt bc I wanted to have kids. Now that I've got 2 kids I don't take it anymore. Don't really notice much difference. Honestly may be easier to control e2 without the hcg.

Never took HCG and was coming off a 1 gram cycle (wasnt being smart) and my wife also had a tube removed due to complications and lo and behold she got pregnant and now i have a beautiful healthy 5 year old girl. She was praying for a girl and with one tube, cut chances in half so we can cough it up to a miracle. Maybe take HCG.
