I always see people posting not to tell your dr of steroid use. Has anyone actually lost their health insurance or people just paranoid?? TY

Personally I have shared my use of compounded peptides with my doctor. I got the usual explanation that compounded version is not FDA approved and there could be adverse effects, da da da. After that conversation not sure i would dare talk about my additional enhancements.
Ranger3252One if you say something they can and usually will put it in your health record. Best course of action is not to say anything. I have private insurance, my employer pays 2500 a month and I pay 621, health insurance is a scam and always will be. But, if you have life insurance and your medical records reflect illicit use of illegal substances, there are clauses that can prevent the payout. Best to not say a word my friend. Same goes for family, friends and significant others. Keep in touch yourself. I’ve lived a life of so many what ifs or what could be. So many reasons I’ve had my private insurance deny claims, luckily I have the VA to back me up on stuff.
They won’t cancel your care but they’ll put it in your medical record which your life insurance has access to (if you have that) and then stong chance your life insurance company uses that to void policy and not pay out in the event of your death.
A friend of mine told his doc he “binge drinks” and the company doubled his life insurance quote for a new policy.
In europe you can't lose your insurance (even if you stop paying) so yes I've told him lol.

I have always been very up front with mines. He’s always told me to stop because my numbers are always sky high but that’s my fault. In my mind him knowing what’s going on gives him a better idea of things to look for and why they may be that way.
I just plain out dont say anything. If there is something wrong with me and i go see her i want her start out and find out from scratch. $230/week for health insurance i dont want her tell me my migraines are possibly from my illegal schedule 3 usage and to stop and come back later when i may have a brain tumor. I dont think they have power to cancel your insurance but they can definitely make your life hell if they are strongly against you using it and you continue them they can and will make your life miserable and can deny certain treatments or referrals. I choose not to mention but thats my prerogative because im a private person. AAS caused me to flag high in cholesterol and blood pressure so i just said its in my family history and got meds for it without disclosing my personal vice to her. And i dont want that on my record forever like other recreational drugs. May hurt or help but id rather without the hurt at anytime. Some doctors care some dont. Its a gamble when you decide to disclose. Even if i did smoke cigarettes im checking no on my intake form
I used to discuss it, but the network I’m in has gotten for a lack of a better word, weird. My wife just had some issues and they handled everything in a crazy way. Even lied about her statements on the reports. They have a patient portal where you can view results and reports. Healthcare in the U.S. is trash.
My bet is they wouldn’t drop you because they wanna keep collecting those premiums. What they would do is just constantly deny things under “preexisting conditions” type bullshit. You’re doing it the right way. I ain’t a goddamn snitch and that includes on myself lol
My wife is the only one i tell when im doing something illegal. Especially not a stranger doctor who does not have my family's interest in her top priorities lol. Just because i see you once a year and make money off me does not make you a friend. And im sure she feels the same will not put her license on the line for ME.

Family plan and Deductible is $3000. Thats american healthcare if both parents work fulltime and dont qualify for benefits. It costs to be legit but profitable to be an illegal or degenerate. Imma lose my wallet, fly to Mexico and sneak over border back here and purposely get caught, free get health insurance, cellphone and 5 star paid hotel room and maybe some free surgery for my hip

He will put it on your record to cover himself. But I’ve never heard of losing your health insurance because of it.
I told my doctor I was using steroids. He didn’t care as long as I was being as safe as possible. He runs my bloods and tells me what to watch out for. He is also willing to prescribe me medication for blood pressure etc. Anything that could raise a red flag I just pay out of pocket.
