Pre-Workout snack

ad

Currently before the gym I eat either oatmeal, cream of rice or frosted flakes. Looking for new ideas. I get home from work at 3pm then hit the gym at 4. Usually eat supper at 630 pm. Not looking for a meal but something so I'm not hungry nor feel full at the gym. Ty

Cereal or cream of rice with a scoop of protein are both solid options. You can also just order a carb powder and drink that intraworkout

Oikos has these Protein Yogurt Shakes that are light and have 23g’s of protein in them. Not so filling that you feel too full in the gym but just enough to give you that protein kick before hand. I love them.

For me Greek yogurt with a few handfuls of berries mixed in. It’s quick and easy on my stomach.

Cliff bars I buy in bulk so it's a dollar a piece. But they give 40g carb 10g protein
I also have that issue with protein bars but the brand "clean" doesn't seem to give me issues. Also I buy in bulk those are under $1 piece
I always have a banana though whether or not I have cliff bar

My goto lately has be the Anabar Protein bar. Marshmallow fluff & butter is the newest flavor and it's amazing in my opinion

Im not a big fan of protein bars. They constipate me lol

Those things really are good. Only complaint is they are always partially melted. I don't know if it's the store I get them from or just because of the climate I live in.

Finnatobbuff81's picture

I order them in boxes and keep in fridge. But have to eat around wrapper still because the outsides melt so fast

Good to know I'm not the only one lmao they still slap though. Barebells are also up there for me, but they have those little chocolate warts that fall off and make a mess.
