Carnivor Diet

ad

What is everyone's take on the carnivore diet and training. I'm currently on a modified carnivore. I incorporate some leafy greens i.e. cabbage, lettuce. My goal is to lose fat and lean out. Should I stick with it or incorporate some complex carbs?

I had a similar experience as Simonmagus. My diet was muscle egg, beef, eggs, and raw milk. After a week I added berries because I was bored with it. That has been my basic diet since April. I lost 20lbs in a month but haven’t really lost anymore. I’ve noticed a difference in overall body composition. At 6’4 250-260 I went from a 40 pants to a 38…. now borderline 36, but the scale hasn’t moved. Visceral fat appears to decrease at a rapid rate. If your gut can handle it, I say run with it. I think most people’s issues outside of constipation is from spices incorporated. Salt is your best friend here.

Here’s a link of you want some advice regarding the discussion to my experience in July.

I did it for 5 weeks until I started incorporating fruits. I did experience constipation but overall, it was a great experience.

I dropped 17 pounds in 5 weeks went from about 214 to 197/198. I dropped a significant amount of BF and felt really good but quite honestly, you have to be really strict with it. If you’re eating veggies then you’re doing a modified keto diet which will take you longer. I was experiencing stomach issues prior and it really healed me but as yokedbull mentions, it isn’t sustainable. You should go full throttle with it and not make any exceptions for any other food, your cravings for other foods will disappear if you’re consistent. Stick with it 100% and you’ll drop significant BF%. If you’re on gear, you’ll maintain most of your muscle mass too. I think 4/8 weeks is fine but definitely not sustainable long term.

Imo carnivore diet is good for healing gut and autoimmune disease, but is not sustainable for long time, we fitnesses enthusiasts need carbs to perform better
You only need to be in calorie deficit to lose fat no matters what diet u follow bro

When you come off, you have to slowly start Introducing foods back in. You can’t go all in at once.
