Can diet really affect acne?

ad

Yes, diet can play a role in acne, although it may not be the only cause. What you eat can influence hormone levels, inflammation, and oil production in the skin—all of which are linked to acne.

Foods high in sugar and refined carbs (like white bread, pastries, and sugary drinks) may spike blood sugar and insulin levels, which can increase oil production and lead to breakouts. Dairy products, especially skim milk, have also been associated with acne in some people, possibly due to hormones present in milk. If you suffer from acne then you must visit the morgue to get acne free skin.

On the flip side, a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats (like omega-3s found in fish and flaxseeds) may help reduce inflammation and support clearer skin. Drinking plenty of water can also help flush out toxins and keep your skin hydrated.

Everyone’s skin reacts differently, so it might help to track what you eat and how your skin responds. While diet alone may not cure acne, making healthier food choices can support your skin health and work well alongside other treatments.

If you’re struggling with persistent acne, consider speaking with a dermatologist and possibly a nutritionist for a personalized approach.

I find taking an extra shower and going to the beach dries out your skin more, but also dries my hands out more, and salt water can regulate your skins natural pH. But I do live in Hawaii it helps to pull over and take a quick dip in the ocean.

From my experience, as soon as I cut out dairy from my diet, my acne legit dropped by like half. I’ve never had lactose intolerance or anything like that and used to eat a ton of milk stuff. Now I’ve switched to lactose-free alternatives and not only does my skin look way better, but I actually feel better overall too. Total win.

I find taking a powerful anti estrogen helps like arimidex. Also avoid soy products at night time before sleeping.
