Aspirating prior to injection

ad

Are you guys aspirating prior to an IM injection? I’ve read that the CDC is saying you shouldn’t, old heads telling me you got to. I always have but I also get I’m serious PIP. What are your thoughts?

I never do either

I never have. Injected into a vein once though. It was an intense 10 minutes of non stop coughing and sweating profusely.

Way back in the day I did every time, that was mid to late 90’s, so yea, I understand the old heads giving that advise, BUT, I no longer do it, I just pin an go, if I nick a vein, oh well and yea I’ve had some gushers, mostly in quads,

I’ve done it a few times, but now I just like the surprise geyser that happens when you pull the needle out.

I have also rarely ever aspirated, I find it reall hard to pull back on the syringe when im one handing a delt or glute
I probably do a lot of things "wrong" but it has been going pretty well for 2 years now.
I exclusively pin with a 27g 1/2inch in my quads, delts and hips. 1ml at a time. If it goes shallow IM or subq, I dont give a shit.
I use a 1 inch or 1.5 inch 25g in the glutes, but I havent pinned those in months.
Ive got no noticeable scar tissue from injecting with the baby needles, so 6 sites is plenty to rotate.

Can't really see a reason not to. You don't want to inject into a vein or blood vessel.

Exactly - why wouldn't you other than out of pure laziness??

Milfpounder's picture

I always do. And at least twice (both in the delts) had blood start filling the syringe, So I'll keep doing it. To each their own tho.

I’ve been injecting for about 15 years. I did the first few times because I read you were supposed to. Then I stopped and I have not since. Never have had a problem. I use tren regularly. I always inject into my glutes.

Tren cough isn’t a real thing.

Khandum's picture

I guess I haven’t earned the passage to Tren kingdom yet then lol

Nucknfutz83's picture

I did but haven't done so in awhile.

press1's picture

I always do - once you experience the enjoyment of injecting Tren Acetate or something containing Guaiacol into the bloodstream you will never fail to do it again. Only takes 2 seconds to pull the plunger slightly back - why would you stick time released oil straight into a vein when you can place it into muscle where its supposed to be?

awl1991's picture

I think the only time you would have to worry about this is if you're injecting into a spot that has alot of veins like maybe a bicep... other than that I never have

Honestly never

Sexton's picture

I always do, but this is how I was taught in the early 2000s. I don't know that I've ever had blood when I aspirated though.

Onepieceisreal's picture

Only pip for me is compound related not injection technique. I personally never aspirate.

Leathernecks's picture

I never have. Doesn't mean thats correct. But I don't.
