Should I skip the secretagogues and go straight to HGH?

ad

For context, I'm 40 and a half. Male. 181 cm. I've been in a cut for over a year, down from 320 lbs to 230ish, around 171 lbs lean mass. Using prescribed Tirzepatide, resistance training, cardio, and dieting. Very proud of myself, but still technically obese, about 25% body fat. My weight loss has slowed a bit. Mostly due to my diet becoming less strict due to diet fatigue and the zepbound no longer having the same effect. I've also been a bit bummed that despite being a gym newbie and obese, I've not put on seemingly any muscle over the past year, according to DEXA scans. I'm hoping being in a slightly less caloric deficit might help me build more muscle, and I can lower my body fat percentage that way.

I've been exploring the GH peptides and HGH as I've read they can increase fat loss and help build muscle mass, a lot of anecdotal stories from users about recomping, etc. I'm also interested in the increased recovery, better sleep, and general anti-aging effects.

There's a lot of information out there and it's hard to process. I was looking at CJC no DAC and Ipamorelin for a cycle, but also wondered if I should just skip to HGH. It seems way more expensive though. Most of the sources on this site have it for like 300-400 dollars for a 100 IU supply which would be like 25 days at the commonly advised 4 IU daily dose. The cheaper sites don't inspire a lot of confidence in regards to purity and reliability.

Yeah, go right for the HGH if you’re interested. It’s worth it in my opinion.

You can find sources on here who are selling quality GH for $~100 if you look. Some sources have fantastic deals like reduced prices or BOGO. I’m actually in the market for some now.

If anyone has a cheaper source, DM me please!

Yes. Hope that helps. Don’t waste your money, if you’re going to spend it, get real GH. All my coaches have said the same.

Thanks, that's what a few other people have told me in various places, but I've also seen a lot of people's anecdotal success with CJC-1295 and Ipa blend. Also reading some of the HGH reviews here, some people have gotten some bunk product, rarely, but it seems to happen occasionally. Would you recommend getting a small amount, like enough for 3-4 weeks which I've read is where you're supposed to get another IGF-1 test to confirm it's working and also to see how my body tolerates it? Or should I just go for it and get like 300-400 IUs, which would be cheaper with promos and bulk discounts, etc?

Igf testing is extremely variable. If you’re dieting it goes down, sometimes DHT based steroids can affect it. I’ve used growth for a decent amount of time now and I’ve come to the conclusion that while it’s a good idea to test to get your baselines and conversion rates, it shouldn’t be the be all end all of if your growth is “good”.

Definitely 300-400 iu, don’t go small.

I’ve pulled igf in the 600’s and in the 300’s on the same dose, same batch, just different situations for my body. Even at the 300 numbers I was still seeing the cosmetic fullness and recovery benefit so don’t worry about it too much.

Now if you’re pinning 6 units and igf is 100 we do have a problem lol. Hope this helps.

Got my IGF tested today so we'll see where I'm at naturally. I guess I'm worried that if I have a pretty high natural baseline then maybe it might not be a good idea to use HGH, and a HGRH might be a better idea, but we'll see where I'm at.

HGH is a long-haul thing. You’ll likely notice improved sleep right off the bat, but skin benefits and such show up a bit later.

It’s up to you - I like it and want to run more. If you go for it, start at 1-1.5ius a day. I just recently tried 2-3ius and my hands kept going numb and were slightly puffy. Not fun.
