+ 1 Alternative Ways to Treat Son with HGH Deficiency
My son has recently been diagnosed with Idiopathic short stature. He is at the 5th percentile in height. I won't say his age other than to say he's old enough and not a small child.
The problem is, my insurance is fighting this tooth a nail and wants a VERY expensive battery of tests done and even then will only cover a small fraction of the medication cost.
Best case I will be out of pocket 10/k monthly for the next 2-4 years to treat him. Like 99% of people this isn't even possible. It has nothing to do with medical need and everything to do with greedy insurance companies.
I have started to consider (after getting a second opinion from a MD consultant) self administering treatment.
The same drugs he has been prescribed can be obtained on the grey market for a fraction of the price and he could be monitored independently by an out of state MD.
He was prescribed 3MG daily of HGH - I believe it was omnitrope.
If this route was to be taken, does anyone have an opinion on the viability of sourcing quality, preferably prescription grade HGH.
I am also looking at traveling to Turkey to meet with their medical doctors and get a multi month supply of HGH to bring home but don't have a good understanding of the legality or possibility of this other than pediatric growth hormone doctors do exist over there.

I went through the same issue with insurance. They kept denying until I presented facts they couldn't ignore. Research showed shorter people have higher risks of heart disease ,diabetes suicide rate etc... After I presented all of that they sustained the script. Not sure if this helps.

Have been giving every last effort to try and make it work through "The System". I'm actually surprised we got the doc to meet with us a few weeks ago when the had a cancellation, otherwise the wait time was almost 5 months.
Alos I haven't found a legit source. "Blue Tops" seems a little sus. But then I find that the major brands like omnitrope are often fakes.
I’d do it, for sure. I’m broke and I’m able to run that dose of underground gh year round for like 1000$ it would cost a lot more to do it with pharmaceutical hgh but the generics test really high. And the pharmaceutical stuff is gunna be way cheaper than buying it from the pharmacy. If you need help with sourcing, almost any of us could help in a private message. (It’s against the rules to discuss sources in the open)
Also you could look into estrogen and using an Ai before growth plates fuse, supposedly you can continue growing if you keep your estrogen from spiking in your late teen years. It’s definitely more experimental tho.

anvilA buddy in high school did this, hard to say what he would have been without it. He had the money for it, he was 5 6 in the end but maybe he would have been 5 2.
I cannot give medical advise for this type of protocol. But if I were you, I back this question into if I buy (you) UG HGH is the quality the same. That's like 10iu a day correct? I can answer some generic HGH is very close in quality and you could replace pharma with it

Dosage isn’t off, but could be higher. Lee Priest was one who was open about it years ago. In all reality, if the body is born short in stature, it’s simply going to be. We all fight nature here in one way or another, but if the child is projected to grow to say 4’11-5’1” at best, no amount of GH will get that body to 5’10” or whatever you’re thinking, and will shorten the lifespan significantly.

Thought that was the original purpose of hgh. Kid who went to my school was prescribed it and had great results.
Ya but doing it on your own is like super crazy illegal. It makes no sense, the same drug and dose but since they don’t make money if it they’ll throw your ass in jail and take your kid
I actually have a prescription for it. And he is medically diagnosed. It’s just that insurance won’t cover it and the drugs are 100x the cost to buy retail.

My bad. I see in the study “Final Height Gain by GH Therapy in Children with Idiopathic Short Stature Is Dose Dependent” that the most effective dose (in the study) was 27 iu.
