Anti-doping agency warns athletes of black market drug

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has taken the rare step of issuing a warning to athletes after discovering abuse of a black market drug that causes multiple cancers in rodents.
The drug, called GW501516, was originally developed by pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to stimulate muscles to burn fats instead of sugars, in order to raise levels of "good" cholesterol. But the company abandoned further development in 2006 after tests on rats showed that at all doses, the drug rapidly causes cancers in a multitude of organs, including the liver, bladder, stomach, skin, thyroid, tongue, testes, ovaries and womb. "GSK does not manufacture it or authorise its sale," says a company spokesman.
In 2009, GSK warned WADA of the potential risks of abuse of the drug, and the agency added the drug to its list of prohibited substances that year.

I've read a few threads in other forum discussions and it seems as if this peptide has been noted for its increased use in athletics, and the clinical trials on rats were done using huge doses, much higher than those much larger humans might ever use. Maybe if we swallowed twenty bottles a day for months on end, we'd get ill too? It seems to be a scare tactic against sports doping. IMHO.
I'm starting a cycle with it in modest 5mg ED oral doses and am not at all worried.

Woah i got this from a source a few months ago and got an infection on first jab so passed on reusing it.

Check this article out. Its an investigative report on GW501516 that came out as a result of the above mentioned study. In the journalist piece the reporter lurks an AAS forum for posts about GW501516 and even orders a bottle from osta-gain. I never knew the laws surrounding peptides but according to the article its not illegal for an individuals to use an untested drug.

Another eroids user had posted this article in a forum but I though it was pertinent to our discussion so I reposed it.
if i'm reading that correctly - it sounds as if the consumer/purchaser - doesn't have anything legally to worry about, but the seller/manufacturer on the other hand - could get in a heap of trouble.
That's how I read it also.
Also from what I gathered from other sources is that not all steroids are illegal in the US, for example new compounds like "the clear" back in the 90s was not illegal at the time because it had not been classified as a steroid. Just like many PHs.

breakingfaceThis egg has yet to fully hatch. Everyone should take this current data seriously. The possible implications of this study are wife spread- including possible restrictions on peptide/research chem suppliers.
