Very low test at a young age.

ad

Had bloodword done due to always feeling terrible, tired, no sex drive and so on.
Come to find out my test is at 137 on a scale of 250-1100 and my free test came in at 18.4 on a scale of 35.00-155.0.

So I can only assume that’s why I’m feeling so crappy.
My doctor made me an apt with and endo which isn’t for another month. I’m just wondering what I can expect from the endo. I mean I’m young but my test is so low and I’m honestly miserable.
How does it work? Do you start trt your first apt? Any experience stories with young guys and low test?
Thanks everyone. I have a feeling this is going to me be a very long process..

please read this my man

From personal experience my man, exhaust every last resource and option before you sogn up to a lifetime of jabbing yourself in your leg/ass (no homo) every single week for the next, hopefully, 60 years.

If they go straight to Test injections without attempting a multitude of other viable options, walk out the door and find a new reputable endo. There’s a plethora of options out their depending on what the true diagnosis is/the reasoning behind it.

Have you reviewed your diet? The medications you have taken or are currently taking? How long have you been sedentary? Have you had any symptoms/signs throughout your teenage/early 20s? These are crucial and critical questions to not just “ask yourself”, but to vigoursly investigate.

At such a young age, us guys hear the word “testosterone” and we immediately get a hard on (unless you’re me and your levels were 71ng). And then, we somehow falsley rationalize/justify how awesome TRT is/is going to be and it’s just going be one big ducking party now! Well, it’s far from that my man- and I don’t hate that I’m raining on the parade.

This is a serious commitment that requires quarterly/bi yearly at the absolute least (which I don’t condone whatsoever, it should be quarterly). You need to give blood every 2 months, but this also can be determined by your quarterly blood tests. (This is of course if you have exhausted every last resource and option before landing on Test injections).

Just be careful for what you wish for. It’s not all sun shines and roses I promise- yeah I feel like an actual human being again, my dick works like a champ, and I’m getting back in shape, but it can be a pain in the ass (literally and figuratively).

I started directly after my 28th birthday of January last year, and I had no other choice- my levels were consistently 71-82ng after 3 blood labs no matter the time of the day. I wish I would have tried HCG therapy, alongside the multitude of other options before I committed to Test injections, but I had been struggling for almost 3-4 years due to being a shit ton of medications that permafried my HPTA, and drastically wanted to feel human again. So, if you’re being completely honest, I feel your pain. But, I’m warning you and giving you advice I wish someone would have given me over a year ago. Good luck homie

Hello Sir,

More likely doc will investigate the cause if this issue further before making any conclusions.
But you being a member of eRoids makes me think that you may start self medicating which is a very bad idea. Strongly recommend to follow doctors instructions and do not create more unnecessary issues.

Regards

Don't start TRT this early in life without having tried other things the Endo will most likely prescribe to you. I doubt he's going to want to start you on Testosterone right away. Someone your age, I think the only way they'd give you TRT would be as an absolute last resort. Try other methods before going down the path of a huge, lifelong commitment.

A month from now OP will be in cycles section talking about 1st cycle tren deca and a gram of test.
I dont mean to be so sceptical but when I was forst diagnosed with low T I went to forums dedicated to trt. I wanted to learn about it on sites that had endos on the forum. I came here after a friend suggested looking for safe advice to cycle. I always raise an eyebrow when young folks 1st post here is im lazy, no sex drive tired and test results are under 200. This is primarily a forum about cycling, bodybuilding, powerlifting, e.t.c. maybe its age and wisdom that makes me an ass or its the fact noone wants to research anything. We live in an age where you can find answers right at your fingertips. It takes more time to ask someone else to do your research then to actually do it.

A+ for being thorough

On thyroid, free T3 should be checked (thats where the rubber meets the road), as should the antibodies

The low test is caused from what is most likely ectopic neurohypophysis. I had an mri which showed a lesion on my pituitary stalk. Then doing more research myself it looks like I have Prolactinoma. This all started from me feeling like I had low test and my blood work coming back so low so my doc ordered an mri. So it’s not just low test for “no reason” there’s something causing it. It’s just a matter of what the endo finds out I guess.

ectopic neurohypophysis???
Sorry to hear that now. Thats pretty heavy. Best wishes for your work with the doctors. Keep us updated

Well you can continue to play doctor, or just let the doctor's do their work.

PS: It helps if you tell the whole story up front.

Based on your age, I'd be very surprised if test was prescribed to you any time soon, especially from an endo. Most quality endos are going to want to take time and see if your production can be improved through natural means. If that doesn't work, maybe they'll try something pharmaceutical to restart your production. If an endo, or any Dr for that matter wants to put you on test right away, I'd suggest seeking another one, as weird as that may sound.

Be patient and don't try to fix it on your own or mess with the protocol your endo puts you on. You are very young and TRT is a huge and life long commitment. You want to exhaust every option of restarting things before you even consider trt.
