Noob TRT question...
ad
When your on TRT from your doctor do you take anything to lower the chances of gyno? What I mean is that I think I read a bit about it and you go in for injections or, if you're lucky, you do the injections at home. But during that time do they monitor you so that you don't get any gyno? Do you have to take anything to avoid gyno like you would on a "normal" cycle?

I am only running 100mg test -C per week and do not run any AI at these levels. My last blood panel was 1 month ago and Estradial was 20 pg/ml out of a reference range of 0 - 39.8 pg/ml. Total estrogen was 178 and men should stay under 200pg/ml.
Having blood work takes the guessing out of TRT.
Most doctors don't know enough about this, although things are getting better. I've had to "educate" my current doctor (urologist) along the way.
I'm prone to gyno, so I definitely need a little Anastrazole (1/4 tab every other day) to help me out. With the increase in TRT patients these last few years, my Dr is definitely getting more educated, and I assume that is happening all over the country.
My doctor prescibes me 1.5 cc every 7 days (300) mgs total. And anastrozole 1 mg 1 tab three times a week
Damn..... That's high. I was fortunate enough to get a 250mg a week dose. Once I got on eroids and read read read about this stuff...I now only go as high as 125mg a week on cruise. Might wanna experiment a little with lower dosages. Advantage of that is I can stockpile some of my script for very good blast runs.
Wow, 250mg is quite high as well. Did your doc start you out at that dose? All the docs I've encountered play it cautiously and start low and build up if your numbers don't look good.
Stockpiling is a smart idea.
Holy shit, that is WAY above a normal TRT dose. Normal range is as low as 50 and as high as 175.
1mg of anastrozole is definitely gonna tumble all your estro down to less then 30%.
Wow, that's a high TRT dose. Also, high on the anastrazole. What are your estrogen readings like in your blood tests? Do you ever experience any crashes?
I've been on doc prescribed trt for several yrs. if you use the recommend dose then you won't have to worry about gyno.
Depends how smart your doctor is.I was prescribed Anastrozole by my urologist to go with my script only because he actually knows a little and wants me to be safe. Then again any injection under 150mg a week is considered very low risk of any gyno and on TRT my estro level never reached high anyways or lsh or fh; that's why he run my blood 2 times before I got prescribed and 3 weeks into my treatment.
Probably not but it really depends on the individual. TRT by definition is supposed to bring you in the normal range right. Maybe high average but still within the normal range. You will most likely not need any AIs.
Also, since you are on doctor prescribed TRT chances are you will get your hormone levels checked several times a year and he will most certainly check your estro levels. If not, ask.
