HRT and low t symptoms returning

ad

This site has been a God send. I've learned more in the past few months here than a year of googling. My family doc has me on 100mg test cyp per week. He' ll run it up as High as 300mg per week. I've been sticking with the lower.dose for about 7 months. When I first
started, felt great. Energy up, motivated, got wood so hard, that it was painful.(all good) Now 7 months later, energy dropping, difficulty even getting wood. I am reluctant to tell doc for fear he'll cut my 300mg dose down. Frankly he knows very little about hrt and is learning as he goes. I'm guessing that my test receptors are locked up? Any advice would be appreciated. Do I simply up the dose? Or do I need to add some ancillary product? Thanks again.

More is not necessarily better. 300mg/wk of test-c is way too high for a sustained TRT dose and that will eventually down-regulate your ARs if you stay on that level. That's almost enough for an anabolic effect. Have you had your free and total T levels tested at that dose? Mine would be way above the "normal" T range even at 200mg/wk. Having a doc that is not knowledgeable in endocrinology manage your TRT can be quite dangerous over the long haul because problems can accumulate that he/she won't know to look for.

I've been on the TRT cruise for almost 6 years with some blasting here and there. The low T symptoms that persist for more than a few weeks are usually an indicator that something needs adjusting. These days for me low levels of a DHT derivative (proviron) is necessary to keep the symptoms from returning. Unfortunately if you are in the US, docs cannot prescribe it. Good luck.

Any books you can recommend Tread, or useful articles?

It could be your natural Test production you had at the start of TRT has shut down.
When you started the injection combined with your natural production was the level you need to be at. Now without your natural production , your levels are too low again.

My doc has me on 200 mgs (I choose to do a spit dose), Anti-estogens and hcg and I have had no problems. Read up on the HCG, And I will bet you that some very nice folks that have been around this site for a while will chime in soon. Good Luck

I am told that without the hcg, being on such a long cycle my nuts would shrivel up. I am told that the hcg protects them and me. I will say everything working just fine, that having been said I seem to find better info here than from my own doctor quite often.

After about 2 months of TRT and low dose add of (200 mg Cyp and 300 mg Prop ) I have noticed no shrivel of the nuticles... I am not using HCG. I wish they would shrink. They clang / bang around and get in my way!

My TRT doc has me on HCG as well, injects at the same time as my eow test cyp shots. I'd like to hear from those that are on TRT without HCG and how their boys/nuts last. I have done cycles in the past before TRT, and mine never got really small as I've heard from others.
