+ 1 Donating blood or phlebotomist

ad

I blast and cruise and as I’ve got older my RBC count has started to rise to high levels this sends my BP really high and I dart to notice shortness of breath. High blood pressure is known as the silent killer for a reason. Lot of people blast and cruise these days especially us older guys trying to cling on to that enhanced mass. Anybody else experience similar and how did you deal with it ? I started taking ramipril every day and donations every 12 weeks and that keeps my RBC down and BP not perfect but within good range. If you do donate have you found that coming up to 12 week / 3 month after donation when your next donation is due you start to feel a bit sluggish again ? Until you donate again?
I can’t recommend donating blood enough the health benefits are great and if your running gear you should definitely consider it

Losartan script from your doc. Easy as a tiny pill to control BP

I think that’s similar to ramipril here in the uk but ramipril also protects the kidneys, that’s on script from the doc too

Hmm CIALIS,natto,magnesium,omegas

Those are daily for bp, also avoiding certain compounds or dosages, drinking plenty of water. Watching your iron intake. Avoiding caffeine or stimulants, proper rest periods between sets. I donate three times a year or every four months or so. But yes diet, genetics, stress, it's good to pin point down the triggers, a portable cuff can be had at your local pharmacy for like 75 bucks. Sorry for the quick gloss over reply just a busy time of year. Good questions
