When did you start to feel old??

Ok turned 37 years old today and for some odd reason I feel so damn old lol... Not physically just mentally ...looked at my senior year book 1994 and was reminiscing about the tight rolled pants at the bottom , parachute pants , British knights sneakers or rebook pumps.. Lol damn those was the good times no cares no worries ..

I'm 38 but mentally I do not feel old in the least bit. I have a child like sense of humor. I'm mature, I handle my business, take care of my family but yet I still feel like a child.
Physically I started feeling older once I started abusing opiates. Getting off them, finding the gym and eventually aas has helped me feel physically younger. When my back acts up. I feel ancient.
Knowing I grew up on Atari. Rotary phones with a 100 foot spiral cord that always got bunched up. Cool Saturday morning cartoons. Nah that doesn't make me feel old lol
I graduated high school in 94' also. My sons and I saw the trailer for Lone Survivor the other day. I said thats Marky Mark. The oldest one looked at me like wtf. Then I had to breakout to singing Good Vibrations. One minute it seems like a lifetime ago then the next it seems like yesterday was senior week at Myrtle Beach.
Try explaining to a kid what a rotary phone is and a party line..... Lol they just look at you with that empty glaze over their eyes.
We had a long long cord that was in our rotary phone .. Wow that brought back memories
I'm 41 next month, I don't move as fast as I use too, and if something falls on the floor, I tell my kids to pick it up ( I efing hate to bend over!). But I am way stronger than I ever been and can workout harder than most of the 25y/o's in my gym. Life is still great!
I feel old on the days my bulging disk is inflamed and young the rest of the time. Today I'm old.

the grunge look (which originated in Seattle) was flannels, knit beanies and engineer boots.. it was actually nothing more than successful marketing ploy - anyone from Seattle will tell you that its not "a look" its just the way they dress cuz it frickin cold there! LOL

noob941yesterday it hit me....i rode bmx competitively until i was 36...i have ridden for fun a couple times a month since then ...i will be 40 in less than a month and after tuning my bike and heading to the ramps i just can'T ride at the level i want to for it to still be enjoyable...my wrists and knees just dont have the strength or stamina for hard landings or the maneuverability for the bike control...so with a heavy heart i concede that i am getting old....STAY STRONG

RustyhookerSounds more like you didn't "feel old" asmuch as you realized your obligations. Carefree back in the day and now your head of household. Responsible is a good thing.

After leg day and I'm getting on and off the toilet. Seriously for me I really felt my body start to slow around 30 which became one of the driving factors of me choosing this life style. Ok remember when phones plugged into walls and TV's got their signal through the air. Happy late b-day GymJ! Time marches on.

No I agree I'm in much better shape at 37 then when I was in my teens and twenty's lol
