What's your favorite Whey Protein and why?

ad

There are so many brands out there, yet I'm having trouble finding something good, without artificial additives and soy fillers. It's sooooo bad that a scoop that supposedly has 25 grams of protein, is actually 35-50 grams in weight.

I was wondering if anyone has tried something that is as close as it gets to being purely protein. Something that doesn't taste like a donkey's butt also.

The only Protein I've tried that fits the description about is ISO100 by Dymatize. It was hydrolyzed 'pre-digested' contained 25 grams of Protein per scoop which weighed 28 grams in total, making it 90% protein. It tasted surprisingly good and mixed effortlessly. However, it's 75 bucks for 5 lbs which gets extremely costly when bulking. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone can give me a few recommendations.

Cheers!

Congrats and apologies.

You left something out though.... acid vs. enzyme hydro.

You do know your shit man...

But what I was getting at was the comment about staying away from hydro proteins because they are "compromised" and of lower quality.

Although I haven't opened a txt book in over 15yrs... I used to know my way around nutrition pretty well. Now a days my brain is just a bit slower than my typing fingers lol.

^Exactly... enzyme hydrolysis would mimic the digestive process... not degrade the quality. It will still be the same old di, tri, and poly-peptides that get into the blood much quicker than a whole protein.

So who really cares what type of protein it starts as? Whey, egg, caseinate. If it does the same job in less time, then what's the difference? (Besides the horrible taste).

I like intek's line of protein. Their whey is good it has 35g protein per scoop, and the scooper is not that big. SOmething you need to watch out for is some protein claim to have 50g protein PER SERVING and you open the bottle up to find out that the scooper is huge and you need 3 scoops for one serving lol.

But anyways Intek whey tastes good with water and milk. I usually use milk but water when I cant. It goes down smooth also. DOes not clump up but you do need to stir it for a couple mins. I have one of those big mixer cups with a whisk ball in it and I just shake the bottle for a min and it's all mixed up. I get my protein for $40 at a local supplement shop.

I also sometimes like to buy different brands just to vary it up. SO it depends but I mostly use intek
