What are some rituals or things you do to stay on track?
ad
Hola everyone,
I don't post much on here but I was curious because personally, I have little rituals that keep me going
-playlist of certain songs
-certain cardio-I ONLY stick to trail running and elliptical ( although the stairmaster is growing on me..;) )
-I tend to isolate myself when making a transformation
lately I've been letting go of these though because I've had better self control where I can incorporate this into my lifestyle without having to have little rituals.
but i was wondering, what are some things you do to keep you on track with your cycle, AAS-or non AAS
??

I need to figure a new schedule. I was laid off of work 2 weeks ago. I'm used to waking up at 5:00 am and starting with my first meal. Now that I'm sleeping in till 8:30 I'm finding it hard to hit my calorie goal (bulking). As far as training it's become such a habit over the years I just do it. Doesn't matter how I feel I just go in and do it.
Counting calories and macros is an absolute must for me. Ive been doing it since i started at 130lbs. When i started i thought I was eating alot until i counted, and still to this day I have to count my calories my protein, carbs and fat daily and if i dont ill stop making progress. Some people think its crazy or a pain in the ass but I got used to it real quick. And now that I eat the same thing pretty much everyday I can make small changes like add more healthy fats, or switch a meal with complex carbs to faster acting carbs and see exactly what it does to my body. Same thing with my workouts, Im that guy in the gym with a book who writes down every exercise, set and number of reps. ill never remember from last weeks workout how many reps i got or how much weight i got on my 4th exercise and 3rd set. By doing this I know exactly how much weight i put up for how many reps the last week so I can know what I need to beat this week. I seem to stall if I dont do this. And last taking pictures every few weeks as well as measurements so if a month as passed and I havent made any improvements at all size wise on a certain body part i know its time to think and come up with a new plan. I'm meticulous with all this record keeping. It works for me and its become second nature. Its not a hassle for me.
Thats what keeps me progressing every day week month etc, what keeps my going is first my love for the gym an this lifestyle and second my end goal. I always set short term goals (month) then like 3 month goals, a goal for the year and my longterm goal. Setting goals are key for me.
Great minds think alike iron!....my routine r very similar with yours ...tracking macros weighing food...it's easy to get off track with nutrition so my fitness pal ap has really helped out! keeping a calendar with all the "supplements" listed on what days is also very helpful especially when on cycle....life is to busy for me to remember everything so keeping records and notes works for me..so yah I'm also the guy with notebook in the gym lol....so whatever works for you and keeps you on track keep doing! Be safe and grow!
Thats dedication I must admit, counting continually can be tedious however it truly does work while putting you in total control of your caloric consumption. Im really impressed, after about a week actually a couple of days i stopped but you my friend are truly doing it, keep it coming!
X2...nice...i am busy. So, staying clear, concise and organized helps me succeed. I just started pyramid regimen about 3wks ago. Had been doing straight sets (18 mnths) and realized i had hit a plateau, or what u described as a stalling phase, not too long ago in a post. So, i am changin things up and pushing for progress....
NickshojJelly of your gainz, definitely one hell of a transformation! I'm not gonna lie, I've been developing a love for preciseness and consistency. I will not start any sort of transformation (AAS or not) without having all the right tools in front of me. I haven't even began my cycle because I need to buy a food scale. If I have no food cycle i feel like I'll fuck up my macros for some reason. But 100% agree with you on keeping everything down to the dot. Keeps me at ease.
People think I'm nuts for weighing all my food and I have s good eye for portion sizes but If I'm off by a few ozs a few times a day it could mean I'm I'm only eating at Maintance or just slightly over which is not optimal for muscle growth. So weighing food is necessary for me. I go shopping once a week and cut up all my meat and weigh it and bag it so I know all the bags are X amount of ounces then I freeze it. Then when I pull it out to cook I know this steak is 12oz or this chicken Is 10oz etc. just easier this way.
So ya before you start any gear make sure you diet is perfect, find out your exact TDEE, and eat your bulking diet for a few weeks before starting the cycle so if you're not gaining weight you can adjust it before you get on cycle so you don't spend precious time on cycle trying to figure out your diet.
