Wow Its amazing how much different and sometimes better an older album sounds when its remastered isn't it?! Was just listening to Youthansia Re-mast 2004 and its sounds almost like a different album - The drums aren't quite as thick and reverby, the bass sounds more prominent etc. .

The album is fantastic..sounds a lot like their older stuff but a lot tighter..definatly not as chaotic as their older stuff either which is cool..and all out life was released as a stand alone single..from Corey Taylor

unsainted is a great song... birth of the cruel and nero forte are good too...red flag rocks and orphan is awesome.. solway firth i think is my favorite song though.. its really just a solid album all around
I have liked a few of their songs through the years and have seen them live a few times. I think they put on one hell of a live show but to actually listen to a whole album of theirs I cannot do.

GatekeeperAll out life was part of the .5 grey chapter album not their new one. I'm a huge slipknot fan and I do believe their new album definitely went back to their Iowa roots with a twist. It's worth having IMO. Corey also quit smoking so you can definitely tell by his live performances he's vocally on track to Iowa days.
Meh. Another victim of being mainstreamed. Their last album was spot on. I went to a few of their shows. Just heard their new stuff and I moved on.
I use to be a Massive Slipknot fan, but after All Hope is Gone no more. No idea what that new album is about!
I don't know what's happened to that band - surely they can judge just by the crowds response how much better their old stuff was. I realise everyone's sound changes over the decades but they now just sound like there's no thought really gone into any of it.
Got to see them on the first date of the current tour with volbeat and gojira. They put on a damn good show as always
